I have very fair skin and lots of freckles so the sun and tanning beds are not kind to my skin. My first experiences in spray tanning were not great, but then a few years ago, I decided to give it another shot and was very happy with the results. The only problem was that I had to drive to Concord or further to find spray tanning, so again I stopped.

Recently, I decided to check to see if there were local businesses that offer spray tanning, and I was happy to discover a couple right in Plymouth. I decided to go with Stella for two reasons. #1 - Their website showed that they have a professionally trained person, Kristen Gilmore, dedicated to their spray tanning service. And #2 - when I called and spoke with Kristen, she was able to easily answer all of my questions and was familiar with how to work with my freckles and skin tone.

I am so happy that I went with Stella Hair Boutique. Kristen was super friendly, but also very professional. When I had to strip down for her to apply the tanning solution, her manner and positivity removed any awkwardness or embarrassment on my part. I've been cutting my own hair for years with clippers. Last cut was several months ago. Got busy, lost track and my hair got to the point of looking like Bozo the Clown with a mullet, so gone I decided to have it professionally cut after all these years. Had no idea where to go. Determined and frantic I then spotted STELLA Hair Boutique on Tenney Mountain Highway and took a chance. I'm really glad I walked in. The shop itself is beautiful: bright, open, clean, colorful product displays. The chairs are spaced well apart. The place was packed with customers, but felt calm and relaxed. The two women at the front desk were very friendly and welcoming and were able to accommodate me as a walk-in. The wait was less than 10 minutes! Kira was my stylist. Ok, here's a rare hair salon review from a male-perspective.

First off let me say that their attention COVID is one of the best I've seen. The cleanliness, the use of curtains between seats and even the checkout process was impressive. Very thorough, but not burdensome.

As a guy, the shop is comfortable, nothing too feminine, you won't feel like you are in your grandmother's salon. It's definitely a modern salon tucked away in a little rural plaza. Everyone there is very nice and even when the shop is busy it's a comfortable environment.

The fact that they also have a male hairdresser is a rarity in the area. So, if you've been going to barbers for years and maybe aren't ready to have a woman cut your hair...but looking for a little more style in your cut, ask for Peter.
