Iâve tried to shop here several times as I have been told they carry some of my favorite brands. The first time I came into the store, the blonde sales associate was too busy with what seemed to be a regular customer to even greet me. No biggie, I get being busy! I meandered around taking note of several pieces I was interested in. I tried to get the associateâs attention to ask if they had additional sizes of denim in the back. She looked at me and said, âNo.â then turned back to her customer.
The second time I came in I was greeted by a young lady this time (already looking up!) I was looking for some cute blouses and started on the right wall. After looking at a few items I turned to move down the unit to look at more. The associate was standing fairly close just watching me look at the items. Strange, I thought, maybe she noticed an item was in the wrong place? I kept looking and got to the end of the unit to move towards the back as there was a sleeve detail I thought was pretty. Again as I turned there she was watching me. She mentioned the last item on the rack which was something hideous and neon and said it would look âsooooo cuteâ on me. Iâm fair skin with blonde hair, no neon should ever be on me.
As I am walking to the back I stop at the table to view some jewelry. She walks over to the other side of the table to talk about the brand I was viewing. Someone local and they were handmade. Cool, but not my style at all. I moved to the next table to look for something that fit me more. She followed but didnât say anything about this brand. I moved on to the wall unit in the back and she followed to the area directly to my right and watched me look at more clothing. At this point, Iâm trying to understand why she is following me. Is it her first day? Is this how she interacts? Then a customer comes in and she greets them, tells them the promotion they have for the day, goes back to the cash area for a second, and b lines it right back to me. At this point, itâs obvious what she thinks Iâm there to do. I decided to leave.
I got to my vehicle which was parked just a few spaces down from the store. As I get in, I see the associate walk away from the door, go to the cash area and SIT DOWN, while the other customer is still shopping. My question is, WHO DOES THAT. She clearly made the decision that I was there to be devious , which was clearly not the case. I later called and left a message for the store manager to call me back and never received...
Read moreI was very disappointed with Scout And Molly and their customer service. I bought a pair of AG jeans last March that cost over 200 dollars. Recently the zipper broke. Yesterday a sales person told me that they would speak to the sales rep for the clothing company and see what they could do...possibly replace the jeans because a zipper of that quality of jeans should not break within only a year, if ever. I thought, âwhat great customer serivice!â Then today I received a call from the manager at Scout and Molly telling me that they will not be able to help me, that the person who told me that should have never said that and that I âshould go to a local seamstress and get it fixed for only 10 dollars and youâve had a lot of wear out of them.â When asked about speaking to the sales rep, the manager told me there is nothing they will do. Although I donât expect something for nothing, I would think that a small business would have better customer service and at least would have offered to pay for the repair! Now, not only did they lose my business by not spending $10 but several other friendsâ business which would have resulted in more than thousands of dollars in potential sales. Scout and Molly should rethink their business policies. And after sharing my experience, I found that serveral other Ponte Vedra friends have had issues with their customer service as well....
Read moreI have loved shopping at Scout and Molly's in the past. When my daughter visits, we go there and shop. Recently I introduced two friends to this store. One one the items I purchased 9 days ago was a lovely dress but I was worried about it wrinkling. I was told I could bring it back if I do not like it. There is a sign on the counter that I could bring it back in ONLY 7 days. I was so busy chatting with my friend, other customers and the delightful sales person that I did not see the sign and was not aware of the 7 day return policy. Today, I brought the dress back as it did wrinkle more than I thought it should. The sales person (not the same one) said I could only exchange it for something in the store today and not get a store credit which I thought was the policy. I was 2 days over the 7 day policy. That is not customer service as the 7 day return was not made clear to me verbally, though it was on the counter with lots of sales items, etc. I have shopped all over the world and this is not a customer friendly policy nor was the way I was treated customer service. I will not be returning and will make sure my friends are aware of how I was not greeted with...
