My sister made a reservation yesterday only to go on a wild goose chase for over 24 hours. We went to the location, paid for the reservation, they took my sister’s personal information for the rental.
After the reservation was made YESTERDAY, we were told they were picking up carts from Cinnamon shores and to call back. My sister called several times and spoke to Robert, who was picking up carts. He informed my sister that if we called the manager office that they will fix everything. We called several times (in pictures attached) and were told the same thing, “Call the office, my manager will get it fixed and taken care of for you. I can’t do anything at this moment, I’m currently picking up carts at another location.” - This was all the night of July 3.
We went to the location this morning to speak to the manager in hopes of a resolution. We instead encountered a very hostile clerk or admin. There was no work done toward trying to resolve the issue that was clearly a booking error on there end. Instead we were told “too bad we have no carts.”
This is especially hurtful to my family as we come twice a year to this island and normally have great experiences. This one leaves a sour and bitter taste in our mouths as we try to be as understanding as possible when it comes to “tourist seasons”. We have been coming to Port Aransas long enough to understand how it works here, but we don’t deserve to be treated in the manner that we were. Read moreMy sister and I reserved a Golf Cart for July 4th weekend to be picked up on July 3rd. We went to the office gave our ID, finalized the reservation and were told they were just waiting for a few carts to come in from a sister location and were told we’d receive a call. We NEVER received a call and about an hour later, checked and our reservation was then canceled!? Reason it said was no payment but it was already paid In full. I have the receipts to show as well.
I called after hours and a nice gentlemen named Robert had informed me he wasn’t sure what had happened but they would have a cart for me fire thing this morning (July 4th).
I stopped by the office and NO ONE was there except for a couple guys tending to some carts. I called the number listed and a very VERY RUDE lady named Lisa answered and told me “sorry our system messed up and we canceled you, I don’t know what else to tell you!” Much more was said but that’s the main part that stuck out and were told they couldn’t help us with a 2 day reservation as their minimum is 3 days, and basically just told us “oh well”.

They came and gave us a new one which was not the same style we had before but it seemed to work fine. We went out to dinner and on our way back we realized that our headlights and brake lights didn’t work at all. We had to drive it home to be able to get a new one, but were being yelled at by multiple cops and people to turn them on. We got it back to their location to trade it in…yet AGAIN and asked for some kind of refund because this is now the 3rd cart we’ve had and their response was “we don’t usually do that”. This place is absolutely horrible and they have no respect for the safety of their customers. This could’ve been avoided if they had actually inspected the carts before giving them to customers.
