Re Runz Thrift Store — Local services in Port Orange

If I could give the owner 0 stars I would. I came in to look for a specific painting I'd seen there a few weeks ago to see if it was still available. Right after this last storm we had and no cars in parking lot, I greeted owner with a smile and playfully asked if they were open just to be respectful and make sure. I didn't want to be rude had they had any flooding. The owner then gave me the most disgusted look I've ever seen in my life and got the biggest attitude over me asking if they were open. I said I'm sorry I didn't see any other cars in the lot I was just checking. He proceeded to tell me in the most negative off-putting make me feel stupid kind of way that the open sign was on, the welcome flags were waving, rolled his eyes at me and walked away over to the counter. Wow! You're the reason there's so much wrong with this world. People like you. Would it have been so hard to say yes absolutely we're open, what can I help you find today? Worst customer service I've seen in my life. I had to walk out. I will never return to this shop and will tell everyone I know about this undeserved attitude....

My wife and I have been going to Gary's store for 5 years. From the onset his deals were amazing. True story, I rented a UHaul truck and bought a boat load of stuff in 2017-2018 and brought it home. Since then he is like a friend, we stop by to see his deals and talka few times a year. Great guy and always fair. If you walk out empty handed from his store I would be shocked. Well...
