Review for Flutie’s Dog Grooming
This was my second visit to Flutie’s with my puppy, Milo. The first experience was absolutely wonderful — the male groomer (possibly the owner?) delivered exactly what we asked for: a soft, full, and adorable “teddy bear cut” that had Milo looking like a picture-perfect pup. It’s the popular look trending for Shih Tzus and other small breeds, and we were so pleased the first time.
Unfortunately, this most recent visit was very disappointing. I came prepared with a reference photo and even showed it to the young lady at check-in, who took a photo of my picture with her phone. I explained clearly that I had grown Milo’s hair out for over a month specifically to achieve a fuller teddy bear look, and requested no more than 1 inch be trimmed all around. While she did take notes, it seems there was either a breakdown in communication or the reference photo wasn’t considered during grooming.
What we got was the complete opposite of what was requested — Milo’s beautiful coat was chopped unevenly, and his face and body don’t resemble the photo at all. He now looks like he got a generic cut from a big box store, not the boutique-level grooming Flutie’s is known for. I was so shocked and disappointed at pickup that I chose not to say anything at the time, but the more I reflect on it, the more upset I feel.
As a first-time puppy parent, I’ve invested in quality grooming products, collagen, and organic bone broth to help Milo grow a healthy, shiny coat — only to have it stripped away in one appointment. I truly hope this was an honest mistake, but it shouldn’t be overlooked. I’d really appreciate knowing who groomed Milo and what went wrong with honoring the request.
As a business owner myself, I understand that things happen, but when customers are entrusting their beloved pets to your care, attention to detail and listening to the client’s request is key. I’ve since read a few other reviews with similar experiences, which is concerning. I hope this review serves as constructive feedback so that others don’t face the same situation.

Read moreUpon leaving fluties after getting our baby trimmed our bank notified me that there was a suspicious charge from fluties and that it also overdrew our acct.there was a charge of $23 and a charge of $20 dollars as well from fluties. I went in with the bank statement on my phone for them to see the owner said it wasnt on her machine and that there was nothing she could do for me to call monday (which btw was 2 days later) and everyone knows they put a overdraft charge each day its overdrawn and let her know what they say. Well had to wait till today Tuesday to get it taken care of. I didn't get a call from fluties to ask if it was taken care of MOTHING !!!!NO APOLOGY again NOTHING. Since we have never had a overdraft until now the bank took off the charges. If this place doesnt even bother to care that A MISTAKE THEY MADE!!!!! can cause US TO NOT BE ABLE TO USE our account until WE fix it is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE !!!! we will not be ever going back and will make sure we tell everyone we can to AVOID this place unless you want to go thru what we just did. Read moreIf I could give no stars I would the heart ach I felt when I walked inside after two hours of not hearing anything back from fluties when I arrived I said I was there for my baby boy who is a husky Great Dane and was about 1 yea at the time they told the lady who was grooming my baby that I was there and she said “who ? I don’t know where he is” and after looking he was in the cages with a fan blowing in front when I got him the service i paid for was incomplete none the less I still paid full price and asked them what was done they said they were able to deshed I would have been more happy if instead of miss treating my baby, they would have just called me and let me know if they were not able to do the service but instead decided to half do the service and make my baby so scared he was shaking and soaking wet when I got him the communication from this place, and everything was just awful I will never be returning and have never returned since if you have a high energy dog or a dog who may just need some one to be patient and talk them thru the grooming this IS NOT THE...
