Let me start off by saying that I avoid clothes shopping until I absolutely have to go. I've always had challenges finding clothes that fit my build right. I have wide shoulders and a tall torso, shorter legs. So I need big & tall shirts. I've tried most of the typical department stores and thought I was stuck with having just JCP as a choice for offering a small selection of clothes that fit me.

Then I stumbled upon this store when having lunch across the street the other day. This was probably the very FIRST time I've found clothes shopping FUN. So many choices in the sizes I need! The gentleman in the store was welcoming and even more helpful. He was able to make recommendations on what he thought would fit me well even before measuring me - and he was right! They're a master of their craft in this store. I left feeling great to finally find a store where I could find an abundance of clothes and actual choices instead of being forced to buy a minimal selection that actually came in my size. I will definitely be back and look forward to shopping here again! It's difficult to not feel judged when clothes shopping when you're of a larger build. Every time I go here Jim is always rushing to get me anything I need. I've never needed something and he couldn't accommodate. That's why I've come back over the years. I found this store in accident and Everytime I come back I'm reminded how awesome this guy is at what he does. Walked in and was instantly greeted with a smile from a man I soon learned was Jim, the “J” of B&J BenJims Big & Tall. Jim was very, very friendly.

I told him what I needed and he was most helpful. He put together an outfit that we agreed was appropriate for the funeral I was soon attending while still maintaining a bit of my personal taste.
