Went today for the first time because I had to come out to Kazoo anyways to try on bridesmaid dresses for my future SIN. Ever since Shwe in battle creek closed, we don't live close to a boba place so I try to get it when I go out of bc. Well, I was thoroughly disappointed. I walked in and huge line that you didn't know where it started. The shop is SUPER disorganized. As a new customer I didn't realize which line was pick up and which was order until ten min in. Super crowded, and just way too many people. The cashier was super nice. Honestly my biggest problem was the boba. I didn't get anything I actually ordered! And I know one of them was given to me because it was never claimed by the person who ordered it but come on. I ordered a Pina colada with tapiaco pearls and a strawberry with jellies. Also all of the boba that was not what I ordered was DISGUSTING. I don't know if you guys are using expired product or if you're watering it down but it literally made me want to puke. Even thinking about it now just blech. And I am seriously wondering if product was expired because ever since drinking half of one I've felt nauseous. Make Boba tea right, or don't do it at all. Organize your way of handling customers and orders, and get orders right. I will not be visiting again, I would much rather get boba from MI BOBA much higher quality and their products didn't make me sick to my stomach! What a...
Read moreI visited in 2017 as a first timer to this tea store & obviously I wanted to sample some tea because I was still pretty new to tea at the time & wanted to make sure what I purchase will go a long way for me. The store owner was nice at first, but she whispered to an assistant after I had my 4th sample to tell her not to give me any more (which I do not think was too much).
I did decide on which teas to buy at the end, but it wasn't the greatest first experience.
Later on, I chatted with owners from other tea stores and found out that storing tea in glass bottles is not good for long term storage - it exposes them to heat and sunlight, which causes them to not last as long & dissipates the taste of the tea over time. Chocolatea (at least back at the time) stores their tea in glass bottles, and while it looks visually appealing to customers, it's not the best practice.
Personally, I won't come back to this tea store after my first & only experience here. I have found other stores in my area that gives an amazing experience for me & performs best practices for tea storage =)
I hope the other customers who visit this site have a much better experience than me - I genuinely think it's an okay place, but i just had a negative personal experience & first impressions, and they do matter (as reflected in my...
Read moreRead moreWe had a party of three for Dinning in. When we arrived it was busy but was able to get a table. There was one thing that really ruined my Sunday after church. Out of the three orders we received mine was incorrect. I ordered an Americano coffee ☕. When I order for Dinning in I'm expecting my coffee to be served in a regular coffee cup like this ☕. They ended up serving it in a to go cup which I hate to go cups. That's why I dine in at coffee establishments the to go cups changes the taste of the coffee for the worst. When I brought this to the staff's attention I received a response that made me feel like an outcast. One person blurts out are you serious ! Another person yells out ( can't you see we're busy ! ) Then a third staff member tells me there are no more cups. So then I kindly say I'm returning the coffee for a refund. Then all the sudden someone throws a coffee cup my way with the statement dump it in this. Rather than just being honest about having coffee cups. Didn't even take my to go cup from me to pour it into a regular cup. Today's situation really set me back a few steps on my FIGHT with Depression. I have to fight to have a happy day and it was ruined. We spent close to $60...
