DMR Home & Apothecary — Local services in Preston

This store is my new favorite!! When I’m in Preston, I look forward to visiting DMR Home & Apothecary on State Street (main road through town) to check out their home goods and to savor the relaxing yet stimulating vibe. My hubby bought a beautiful wood cutting board from Australia that is naturally and permanently antibacterial. When I needed a little pick-me-up last month, I got her newly scented candle “watermelon lemonade”, because it reminds me of summertime fun. Ginger Day (owner) makes candles, bath teas/soaks, sugar scrubs, and soap bars in lavender vanilla, citrus, and other heavenly scents. I appreciate being able to buy local handmade goods for our home and gifts for friends and family. And, Ginger hosts various classes. Last Fall, I went to her “how to build a charcuterie board”, with all the trimmings that can be found at Stokes. It’s a friendly family enterprise; her husband and sons help with the store. Completely charming boutique with such an amazing variety of treasures. I literally laughed out loud at several of the t-shirt and sign options. There is home decor, handmade soap, herbal teas, candles, way too many things to list. Do yourself a favor and stop in here without kids so you can look longer ;) (although there is freeze dried candy to keep them satiated for a little while) the staff/owner were helpful and friendly. Love everything omg I wanted everything!! The decor is so cute, they have subtle home decor, seasonal, baskets, paintings and so much more at a really reasonable price. The candles are easily the best I’ve ever owned. I was dying to go back and get more and this time I brought home some holiday scented ones.
