I again was admitted to this hospital a few days ago with pneumonia . My name appears as hope which is my middle name but the staff there know me as Martha. I had little wait time and was treated with the upmost dignity and respect by all staff. Environment was clean and employees were always busy taking care of any concerns for the patients even if it meant a late or no lunch. If I had any concerns, a charge nurse was sent in right away to discuss anything i needed to know. This time, i was in a room on the 3rd floor and the staff was excellent. They always asked if i needed anything before leaving the room and encouraged me to call out if i needed anything at all . Debbie is a fantastic charge nurse and really cares about her patients. Rebecca is another great nurse!! Thank you Rebecca for all the wonderful prompt care! And Autumn, you really made my stay so much better by always checking in on me and taking care of me so well. Hayley also was wonderful and went above and beyond. Ashton with an upbeat attitude and making sure I had everthing that I needed. The respiratory therapist Toni that encouraged me to not give up and gave me wonderful advice, she is wonderful. Catie, perfect nurse! I am not one to put other peoples names down but i seen her take up the slack of others ready to leave their shift to go home and she did what they had promised to do. Dr. Daniels is so thourough and caring. Radiology is also wonderful. House keeping is amazing too. Last but not least, diatary, wonderful to say the least. The elderly lady that was my room mate was deaf but all staff made sure that she was comfortable and coresponded with by reading what she wrote down. Human resources make sure that everything is in good placement to go home. The ER is wonderful too. And even the intern students are great. Its so nice to see young men and women still choosing to go into the medical field especially with the negative reviews on here. And next time someone wants to put a nurse down for not being able to hit a vein, think about if that patient has abused that vein before they came in or if they are dehydrated. The hospital is not a 5 star motel, its a life saving facility!!
There should be a place for reviews in 2 separate places. One for the ER and one for the floors considering one has to get through the ER to be admitted. So since WVU, PCH decided to combine them, the 3 stars do not go to the ER! Sadly too many people use the ER for a pain clinic and rehab center than for an emergency. I waited plenty of time in the ER, long enough to see why the staff would be discouraged. I was admitted with pneumonia and some other serious issues and I have to say that thanks to Dr. Reyes and the RN Gracie M, I received the best care that I have experienced at any hospital for myself or any of my family. I do not usually give reviews but I believe that when someone does a great job that it should definitely be known. It was worth the ER wait and besides while you're waiting the staff are pulling people back for XRAYS, Blood work and other procedures then sent back out to wait until they get a room open and one rooms as good as the other as long as they are doing testing. Also, after witnessing how most of the people were in the waiting room and how they were acting, you really have to consider the source on some of these negative reviews. People saying their pain levels were 7 and 8 and out in the waiting area laughing and cutting up with one another and staff nearly having to run down patients how ran out to their cars to smoke. The ER experience was not great but if i was a nurse or physician, I couldn't even handle one day working under the stress of rude, ungrateful, ...

NOT what I told her about my issues that I had going on that evening. I will lay and die at home before I EVER go back to PCH ER! The triage nurse was so rude! And could careless of what you have going on. From the start she acted like I was more of a bother or I had no businesses being there. However, deaths on both sides of my family with strokes and heart disease and heart attacks and a mother recently had strokes and a deceased father had heart attack I felt I really needed to be seen. I would ask questions but before I could answer in detail or explain anything she would interupt and over talk me. I understand there are protocol questions when a patient comes in. But do not make someone that seriously doesn't feel good and feels something is wrong even if its not a heart attack that we are an idiot and shouldnt be there! We know our normal aches and pains but this was very different for me! I have been having some heart issues. So I actually went because I had started having some harder than normal chest pains, throwing up, busting headache, numbness and tingling in my left arm and shoulder blade, blood pressure had went up to 150/103 while I was home, I even felt like I was going to passout during this. I would try to explain my bp has never been high like that. She said that 150/103 was not a bad bp for people that has heart issues. To me it is if ive never had that before! I had no problem answering the triage nurse on what she asked but was interrupted every time. And making me feel I was just there for a party really upset me. She made me feel like I was nothing or had no business there! I got so upset when I was sat back out in the waiting room the way I was treated I left the hospital . Which before I left they did do an EKG and chest xray. The longer I sat there feeling horrible. The more it upset me watching her treat other patients just like she did me. I didn't even wait to see the Dr. NO idea what my results were for what they did. I left no better off. Yes I am still having the same issues. But I did file a complaint today. I mean if you are in healthcare profession and you are not willing to help find you another profession!! No need to be rude and make it out everyone there is a...

I had an episode where I almost passed out in my bathroom floor. Ambulance 🚑 was called and naturally they took me to the closest hospital 🏥 that’s good right? Not in this situation… unfortunately I was administered potassium without it being diluted , the pain behind this was inhuman. I’ve been having medical problems for over 3 months so I’ve had this done 2 or .3 times at other hospitals never went through this type of pain , while in my pain and sadly saying (crying) telling the nurse to stop it she looked at me and said I just need a new Iv !!! I told her to exit my room. She did . The charge nurse was a angel though she said nothing was wrong with my iv and she’s going to flush it and try again with a mixture of fluid and potassium and it worked and it was like the other treatments… long story short after that, the charge nurse went on home after shift change But the others stayed back including the one I told to get out! When I say others I guess they all good buddies off and on work About 30 minutes later they continue to talk about how I was in the wrong they talked about other patient’s symptoms and problems out in the open ?! Now to paint u a better picture I was directly beside the nurses station !! So u about imagine they wanted me to hear them like it was my fault I got upset at the particular nurse?! The other nurse I got for the remaining time I spent was very very rude also I guess like I said all of them are friends except for a few …. Last thing she said to me was since you’re getting transferred to another hospital u want them to give you these medicines or me? Lol wooooowww….. ok …. RECAP: stay away from Princeton community if you possibly can! Worst experience of my life and the most inhumane place a person can be at!!! I’ve seen other people talk about this place and I’m in shock ⚡️ with all that’s happened to me and others! Honestly if the community got together on this we need to make a change for the better health and patient’s safety and the billing and the respect we all deserve ! Let’s go Mercer county let’s make...
