Gym equipment is pretty new and maintained. The facility is always clean and it's usually not too busy.
However, it's always hot. Even during the winter months. During the summer it's completely normal to walk into the gym and it's 80 degrees or more. On a warmer 65 degree day in February, I walked in and it was 76 degrees inside and the thermostat was set to heat. There's a sign on the thermostat that says "gym must stay between 68 and 72 degrees". Yet, I've never seen the temperature below 72.
There's also never toilet paper or paper towels in the men's bathroom. And it doesn't get checked daily. I went in on a Monday and noticed no toilet paper. Went in every day that week and toilet paper wasn't refilled until Thursday.
Lastly, I'm currently in the process of dealing with collections because of a mistake made by whoever entered my information during the initial sign up. I provided my phone number, but they entered a number that wasn't mine. My check card expired late last year. I updated every reoccurring service that my card's tied to, but as most know, you never remember every place your card is tied to. I forgot to update the gym with my new card info. However, I am normally notified the next month with any place that can't bill, then I get it updated. With the incorrect phone number, not entered by me, nobody notified me that there were any issues. Someone could have attempted to contact me by email, but nope, nobody emailed me.
I emailed the financial institution regarding cancelling my account in April after my one year membership, (tired of how hot it is all the time) and was notified via email that my account has been sent to collections. I was completely taken by surprise. So now, I'm currently in the process of trying to get this corrected, but I've been waiting since Thursday to get called back by the manager since whoever I spoke with on the phone isn't allowed to look at my account information.
I will not be recommending this gym to anyone and will not...
Read moreFirst of all seven parking spaces isn't enough. It's hard to get in the place even when it's far from packed inside. The gym is nice on the inside and overall very clean. It lacks locker rooms for either sex leaving you instead to change in the showers or restrooms. There are no 35 pound plates in the building and this is not always remedied by adding a 25 and a 10 together certain plate exercises can't be substituted this way. Staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. And it looks like most of the gym goers here are pretty strong which is a good sign that if you have questions someone there will have answers. Overall it's a good gym on the inside but parking may not be an option... Which may help me get a little cardio in with a run there...
