Crimson & Gray — Local services in Pullman

As most students know College books are expensive, and sometimes a pain in the butt to find the correct edition online in time for class.

Crimson and Grey has fair prices for book rentals and used books for 25% and 50% of the new book price, respectively. If you are an SFCC or WSU student they can find the books you need just by telling them your classes. Cash offered for book buy-backs was decent, about 25%-40% depending on condition.

My only problem was when I didn't return a rented book on time which was frustrating. They charged my bank account for the full price of the book new, sales tax, and a fee. Although they did refund everything except the fee when I talked with the manager there, which I thought was more than fair of them to do and was very satisfied with the customer service.

Didn't have the best experience last time we were in about 7 weeks ago around noon. It was SO hot it became hard to look around and try on jackets without sweating. The heat seemed to be set for the young gal working and no one else. While she was friendly, the vibe was rushed. We wanted a white hat due to working in a hot environment and trying to keep the sweat line as discreet as possible and, after 5 mins of her explaining her friends white hat was see through and we needed the gray, we just said ok to get what we needed and get outside.

Low and behold the sweat line was very visible with gray, and we ended up at Walmart buying a white half at half the price of the $30 visor at C&G. Also, we were correct - White does not show sweat...

Usually I go to the bookstore to grab WSU gear, but after hearing so many great things about C&G I wanted to check it out! Turns out I’ll not be coming back here and I don’t recommend this place above the bookstore. My friend purchased a simple crewneck sweatshirt, wore it once, and the quality was so bad, the fabric pilled and shedded everywhere! It just obviously was super cheap quality. She went back the next day to get it exchanged (with receipt and tags) and the lead was no help, offered no customer service, and was simply rude to her. A really disappointing experience overall and honestly embarrassing for them to have such business practices. Go...
