Grapevine Antique Mall — Local services in Purcell

My husband and I always have so much fun hunting for treasures in this store! It is absolutely filled with oodles of shelves and cases packed full of vintage and antique goodies. This is more of a traditional antique store where the items are displayed but aren’t necessarily arranged or merchandised as is the trend in some newer antique stores that aim for a more retail store vibe. This store has so many things that it may be overwhelming for some visitors, so plan to go when you’re feeling refreshed and are ready for that seek and find experience. The store offers a variety of vintage and antique small items and has a large amount of glass along with some collectibles. I wish there were fewer locked display cases in this store. I understand they deter theft of small items and protect expensive breakable items, but they also dissuade interested buyers. Personally, I hate to bother the staff by asking to view items in cases so I tend to purchase fewer items in cases compared to accessible items.

This shop has a ton of glass and some of the booths are a little tight, so be mindful of bringing large bags, young children, or accident-prone people. The majority of the store is well-lit from the large front windows, and it has good climate control though it is a tad warm on hot summer days so dress appropriately. I did not see a public restroom available for use. This store charges a small fee to use credit or debit cards. The staff have always been friendly and helpful on my visits.

Though I don’t visit the store often, I feel like item turnover might be a little low because I noticed some price tags that were so old the prices were faded and almost illegible. The booth vendors might benefit from culling those unsold items and refreshing their booths with new items or at least replacing the tags. I also noticed that some of the items are a little dusty and could benefit from a wash so that they sparkle in all the natural light from the large front windows and attract the eye of buyers. This shop could be so sparkly since it has so much glass!!

Overall, I really like this antique shop and I think it is worth my 30-minute trip from the Moore/OKC metro area. Be sure to pay them a visit if you love vintage glass and/or the thrill...

I asked the white haired lady behind the counter how much something costs, and she proceeded to lecture me on how everything is on consignment and that she could not provide any information bla bla bla like SHE WAS ANGRY - It sounded like she has been asked that one question... I would not recommend, I was in here 2 years ago and now today, same things still here and marked up too high. I have a pair of crystal tapered candle holders just like the ones in the store. I paid $6 dollars for the pair at home goods. They are wanting $18 for the pair. One lady asked me if I found anything and I told her about the holders she said "everything is going up even groceries" uh no you all over price things that are cheaper bought brand new and not antiques.
