Luxury Nails — Local services in Quincy

I deviated from my regular nail salon because i had somewhere to be yesterday and they couldn't fit me in until today. So for convenience, i went to this place. Since i live close by.

I was seen by Annie. After she filled my nails i started to tell her how short i wanted them, and i had a special request... Please keep my thumb nails a little longer than the rest (otherwise my thumbs look fat and stubby.. No big deal, right?)

She said ok. then proceeded to make my thumb nail look like a chicklet... Like literally it was so small.

When i pulled my hand away i told her she just did the complete opposite of what i asked and she kept saying sorry. I had to ask her if she could build it back up with acrylic... I feel as though she should have offered when she seen how unhappy i was. Other places would.

Then i told her i didn't want them too narrow (i have fat fingers and out would look stupid)

She side ok I'll do square with round edges... Yea.. She filed the sides of the nails on my right hand so much that they were slanted. I had to ask her again to build up 2 of the nails so they could look normal. See kept telling me that once the polish was on they would look better. I've been getting my acrylics for 20+ years.. I know how it works. I could tell she was irritated that i kept asking her to fix them. But if she head actually listened in the first place we would have been fine

Then she has done other girl paint them. I always get the gel top coat... She put it on ship thick around the edges that my hair is getting caught o in them.

NEVER again will i go to her. I honey don't even know how they have regular customers. This place SUCKS!

I am writing this review not only because this is one of the best nail salons I have been to but because I was disturbed by one of the reviews left below. I’m not sure what that person thinks they experienced but racism is something I have never felt at this salon. I am shocked the word race would even be used. As a black woman, I left my original nail salon that I had been going to for years because especially Tina and Julie are extra attentive when I come in. At my old salon, they were always too busy even though they were good but I felt like just a number. I love that I can chat and make jokes with the staff and can even bring my 2 small children in and how much they show love to my babies. So being treated differently because of my race would never even come across my mind when describing this nail salon. I do always call and make an appointment but if someone had an appointment before me I would understand. Making an appointment is key to being served quickly no matter what race you are. At Luxury Nails I feel like I get the most bang for my buck with the massages that are in included with the pedicure so keep on shining Luxury Nails and doing what you do best, I...

My new go to nail salon! I’ve been here 3 times so far, they are the absolute best! My first time here I just brought my 7 year old to get a pedi because she had never sat in one of the kid’s pedicure chairs, and her feet can’t reach the water on the other ones so she never got the full experience. I am very particular about my nails but the way this woman treated my daughter our first time there was what had me come try them out my self(I unfortunately forgot her name but she is the really young looking one). She kept checking in with her making sure the nails were to her liking she did not just try rushing because she was a child. I’ve gotten a pedicure and a manicure from here so far myself and Julie just did my nails the ombré dip powder she did an amazing job I was unsure of what I wanted so she did one nail just to show me because she wanted to make sure I loved it! The woman that did my pedicure I forgot her name but she has 2 children the same age as mine 15 and 7, she gave me the best pedicure I have ever gotten. By far best nail salon in this area!!
