Ash + Opal Hair Salon — Local services in Quincy

I absolutely love everything about this salon! Daleen has been doing my hair for 3 years now. This is the 3rd location I have gone to see her at. The difference is that she owns Ash&Opal. I am so proud of her and all of her accomplishments. The salon is simply beautiful. I walk in and I feel happy and welcomed every single visit. It’s super clean and very organized. It’s got a very warming vibe to it. She is an award winning colorist and I love watching her work on other clients when I’m there. She recently cut about 6 inches off of my hair and I love my A-line bob. I have gotten lots of compliments!! These pics are from 2 visits prior to the big chop. In addition to what she offers as services, she also has a cute coffee bar set up and a variety of drinks for her clients to help themselves. I’m already looking forward to my next visit in 2 weeks. I get a single process to cover my grays every time. And she has done highlights a few times over the 3 years. When I first started seeing her I had short hair with bangs. She gets more Excited than me when I wanna do something new and I just love her energy!

If you are looking for a new stylist/salon - check her out! She is in Quincy and super easy to get to, with a few parking spaces and tons of FREE street parking. I live in Everett, and it’s worth the trip - hands down!

The salon is good, clean. The employees are quite friendly. But it was a complete disappointment for me. Actually, there is no need to say much. The first picture is what I wanted, the second picture is the result. And I paid for it $250, unfortunately, even though I requested a refund, they did not call me and did not refund me. and I have to go to another salon and pay again for them to fix it. I came and we talked and I said I wanted a lighter and brighter blonde and she said okay. The only difference between my current hair and my previous hair is that only the roots of my hair are dyed and it has turned into a more matte color. Why did I pay so much if nothing would change and my hair would turn into a more matte color? Yes, I went there again, hoping that maybe there would be a change in tonal application, but the result was very disappointing. This was my first time at Ash + Opal. My previous amazing stylist for over the last decade moved out of state so I was scared to start all over with someone new. Jaycee nailed it with my heavy foils making my blonde hair look super natural. She’s so kind and chill - it was a very relaxing experience while she took the appropriate amount of time on every step and gave me the best scalp massage when she washed my hair! I’m looking forward to continuing a routine schedule with her. Thanks, Jaycee!

As for the salon, the owner Daleen is so friendly and great with communication figuring out your needs and finding the right stylist and look for you. She knows her own and each team member’s style and strengths, making her a great matchmaker for your needs. Her modern space is light and airy with plants and a very cool custom wallpaper with her tiger logo. Great taste in music playing in the background.
