Ralph's Food Warehouse — Local services in Río Grande

Let's talk about Ralph. We have to understand that it is a supermarket.

But inside the supermarket there is a cafe.

Something convenient for people who are going to visit El Yunque, Luquillo, the beach and nearby areas. The order system is a bit disorganized. Because it all depends on what you are going to order. I think they should collect orders based on arrival, not on what you want to consume.

Then I did everything I could to make the person who served me smile, and even if I managed it, I don't think I should force a service worker to smile.

I ordered two porkchop sandwiches, and although it wasn't bad, when I think of porkchop sandwich, I think of pork with a lot of flavor, something that the meat lack.

I think it's a good place for people who want something quick to grab and go.

Although I repeat, the order system is not the best for those people who need something quick and leave.

Very clean store and a great parking lot. Not that easy to find in Puerto Rico. Standard but unimginative selection of foods. Fine as long as you're not looking for anything special. I couldn't find one item that was organic. Twice I have entered their cafeteria. The first time the service was so bad I finally left with no food. It turns out I did better that time than the second time when I did get some food. The worst lunch I have ever had. The meat was barely warm and incredibly tough. The rest of the food was about the same. I ended up just throwing it away. I would have brought it back to them but I got it to go. I usually go to Econo instead of Ralph's because of their much bigger selection and at least an attempt at organic foods. So 4 stars for the store and 0 stars for the cafeteria. I shop this store frequently. The choices and prices are competitive and the aisles wide enough for two carts to easily pass one another. The cafeteria has great home cooked local criolla comida at fair prices and ample portions. I see others reviews about customer service, language barriers, and phone service ... Welcome to Puerto Rico! Ralph's isn't the only establishment with these same shortfalls! You may react that way in your hometown too ... get over it, or try to learn...
