I like it a lot. The place is being remodel but that does not get in the way of anything. Is not messy. They have great prices and you can find an very good variety of items from different countries. Specially South, Central and the Caribbean. They have an hot food area where they serve breakfast and lunch. I been going every day lately trying to get breakfast but they are not really ready either that stuff before 8. I liked the stuffed yuca and potatoes balls. But my favorite is the empanada de platano . That is made only on Thursday. That is a beef patty but instead of flour dough is yellow plantain dough, 😋 delicious. They have rice, beans and meat. They also have potato salad freshly made the Hispanic way. They made very juicy crispy cicharon(Pork skin) not sure if that available every day. On Saturday and Sunday the fish department makes fresh seviche Peruvian style. There was a line on both day so go early and still spent to wait. The butchers are so antisocial. I've went in to get some Oxtails, and it was a woman before me. She also ordered Oxtails, and I guess being they knew her, they cut her Oxtails and gave her the thick part. Now that it was my turn, they said they were not allowed to cut them. They had to give me whole. & so I went to report it to the manager and stated what I've seen. The manager basically explained to me that they don't allow to cut the Oxtails anymore because there was a restaurant that used to buy the thin parts so they could make a stew. But now the restaurant doesn't buy them anymore so we have to buy the whole tail now. I don't think it's right because we are paying for bones because that part is so thin. But morrow of the story EVERYONE SHOULD BE TREATED EQUALLY. So they lost a customer, which I went about 3xs a week. Although them losing me isn't going to stop them from making money, of course. The supermarket is clean if you are looking for Spanish things they have a little but of everything they did a make over and it came out great the reason why give it 3 stars and not 5 is because I feel like management should be nicer to customers and I'm talking about one in particular she wears glassed has long hair and believe she is from Venezuela due to her accent! She needs to be nicer to customers she is not always right but she thinks she is. I went in did a purchase she told me it was not covered I asked nicely to the cashier to scan it just to double check a d guess what it was covered! The cashier nicely apologized I itold her is not her fault but the manager should learn some manners! Unfortunately the owners were not around otherwise I would have addressed this situation.
