I was appalled by my experience at this store. We were repeat customers as I had bought my living room furniture a couple of years back. We had looked at many other stores for our dining table which was available but decided to go with this one as we had had good experience with them previously. We decided to pay the full amount in cash upfront (mistake never to do again) in mid February. The owner (Mohammed) and store manager (AJ) said they will check the warehouse for the items and should expect delivery in 3 weeks. We didn’t schedule a delivery till they verified the items were available for delivery. When we called the following week and requested for a COI, they said to email them the details and they will charge us for this. Previously they never charged me for this for my delivery so I was shocked. In addition when we emailed them the details, JJ said he doesn’t have access to the emails so can’t schedule and provide the COI. This went on for a couple of weeks with no follow ups from them. We finally got our apartment to agree to get the delivery without a COI. Each time we called to request for a time of delivery, the owner (Mohammed) and AJ kept getting getting ruder by the call. We were told that we are wasting their time. This is after we had paid for the items in full. We were told that we aren’t a priority and there are other customers in the store they need to attend to. They threatened to cancel our order several times along with hanging up phone calls on us multiple times. A few times we were told to talk to the owner (Mohammed) and when we called again the owner was not in the store. When we finally got to the owner, he said we have to talk to AJ. There was no consistency on who was managing the deliveries. There was no customer service as both AJ and Mohammed were extremely rude! No manners on how to speak to a customer as highlighted above. We ended up getting our $ back and canceling our order. And as we were leaving the store after getting our $ back, the owner demanded we leave his store. I WALK IN ON JUNE 24TH TO LOOK AT BEDROOM FURNITURE AND THE MOMENT I WALKED IN I HAD A BAD FEELING. IM NOT SURE WHETHER IT WAS THE BUSTED FRONT DOOR WITH GLASS EVERYWHERE OR THE FACT THAT EVERYTHING IS ORGANIZED IN THE PLACE. IM ABOUT TO WALK OUT THE DOOR AND ONE OF THE WORKERS COMES OVER TO ME AND ASKS IF I KNEW WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT, I SHOW HIM A PICTURE AND HE SAYS HE WOULD BE ABLE TO ORDER THE SAME ONE AS WHAT I SAW @ VALUE BUT FOR $200 LESS. DEEP DOWN SOMETHING TOLD ME NOT TO BUT WITH ALL THE COSTS FOR MOVING, I ELECTED TO PULL THE TRIGGER. 2 WEEKS BEFORE I MOVED IN (WHICH WAS AUG 1ST) I CALLED THEM TO CONFIRM EVERYTHING WAS GOING TO BE DELIVERED WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS. THE PERSON WHO ANSWERED THE PHONE, IDK IF HE WAS HIGH ON DRUGS BUT HE COULDNT FORMULATE A SINGLE SENTENCE TOGETHER AND I HUNG UP AND GOT SOMEONE ELSE ON THE PHONE. THIS GUY COULDNT EVEN FIND THE ORDER SO I ASKED TO SPEAK WITH THE GUY NAMED SEF WHO I ORIGINALLY DEALT WITH. HE ASSURED ME EVERYTHING IS FINE BUT HE DIDNT SOUND TOO SURE. FAST FORWARD TO MY MOVING DAY, I CALLED THEM IN THE MORNING TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS A GO AND THEY SAY "YEAH YEAH EVERYTHING IS FINE. WELL SEE YOU SOON" NOT EVEN AN HR LATER I RECEIVE A CALL AND THE P.O.S. TELLS ME THE FURNITURE THAT I ORDERED 6 WEEKS PRIOR IS ACTUALLY SOLD OUT. THESE SCUMBAGS SOLD ME FURNITURE KNOWING DAMN WELL THEY WOULDNT BE ABLE TO FULFILL THE ORDER. I HAD TO THEN FIGHT WITH THEM TO GIVE ME ANOTHER TYPE OF FURNITURE WHICH I WASNT REALLY HAPPY WITH AND MADE ME WAIT A DAY FOR IT TO BE DELIEVERED AND TRIED TO MAKE ME FEEL LIKE I WAS THE LUCK ONE BC THEY USUALLY DONT DO DELIEVERIES ON SUNDAYS. Read moreWhere do I even begin. We went into the store and dealt with Ray. We bought 3 bedroom sets. We were told we'd have it in a week. After a week we called the store. First we were told they were missing a piece and were waiting for it to come in. Then someone else told us they were waiting on another delivery to Staten Island to save on the toll and it could be another week. We put up a fight and they agreed to deliver to us the next day. The truck pulled up at 6:30 p.m. By 9:00 p.m. the installers were cursing, confused and just about giving up. 2 of the bedroom sets were the same. They had a ladder going to a wall on the loft bed. They also had the furniture installed backwards (ladder on the wrong end). I knew something was wrong when I saw them start drilling holes in prefabbed furniture. They drilled holes for no reason and installed all the brackets incorrectly. All the furniture was scratched, chipped & scuffed up. Pieces were also missing from all 3 sets. At 9:30 they told me that they spoke to the manager (Ray) and he told them to make the beds sleepable and he would be by the next day to address all the issues. I insisted on speaking to Ray. The driver put Ray on the phone and he said he would be by the next day. The next day comes and I call the store at 1 to find out when Ray would be coming. He told me he never told me he would be coming. I told him the beds were assembled wrong and were very shaky. I explained that the beds were for children. He told me that the best he could do is order new pieces and it would be a few weeks. I told him that was unacceptable and that I had no where for my children to sleep. I told him I didn't want the furniture. I told him to come pick it up and give me back my money. He told me I'll have to pay a big return fee. I called the credit card company and put a stop on the payment. This company are a bunch of crooks. Spend the extra $150 and go to Ashley furniture next door.
