I have never been treated more kindly by a business in my entire life. I contacted Mimi and Russell just 5 weeks before my wedding in a panic. My engagement ring is very unique and one that I inherited from my grandmother, it is vintage art deco and was very hard to fit a wedding band to. I had bought another band but it didn't fit and I was left with limited time to get a band created! From my first email contact with Lesa & Mimi I felt assured, they were SO friendly and accommodating. I came in for a meeting with Russell and Mimi and they truly listened to what I wanted, put my fears about timing at ease and offered me options I had never considered. I had a created a sketch and Russell used my sketch and the outline of my ring, incorporated my design and created a perfect solution. A set of rings that would sandwich my grandmother's ring to protect it, something I had never considered. They were patient and super knowledgeable and when they gave me the estimate for the 2 rings it was less than the price I had been quoted for just 1 ring at another jewellers. They finished the bands 1 week ahead of schedule and I was stunned when I saw them. They are gorgeous, the craftsmanship is outstanding, they look like they were made at the same time as my grandmother's ring, an absolute perfect match. I can't say enough about how amazing these jewellers are. I actually felt like one of their family, I will absolutely be returning for any jewellery repairs or future creations I need. My rings are stunning and I am so, so glad I found them. If you are looking for a jeweller, you can stop your search, you have found the best in Raleigh right here with prices that are super reasonable, the highest quality craftsmanship and the kindest most genuine people you could ever hope to work with. They...
Read moreI highly recommend Brummit Jewelry Design studio! My fiancé and I worked with me to design my custom engagement ring, and I couldn’t be happier. Everyone at the studio is kind and professional and Russ was especially a joy to work with. I brought in two heirloom pieces hoping to utilize the smaller diamonds in them for accent pieces. After looking at the first piece, Russ asked if I knew it’s history. I did not. He proceeded to passionately tell me how he suspects it dates back to the early 1800s, before diamond cutting was standardized. For that reason, it was very unique and should be preserved. It was an unexpected but very appreciated little history lesson! (And we did end up using the other unrelated heirloom piece for parts of my ring.) Overall, they were helpful with the design process and extremely communicative. Their prices were also very fair and transparent – especially when compared to quotes I’d gotten from big box jewelry stores. Most importantly, I love the finished product! My fiancé and I will absolutely be returning here for our wedding bands. Support local artisans and give Brummitt...
Read moreI have known Russ and Mimi Brummitt for approximately ten years now. In that time, they have designed and created custom jewelry for me, refurbished old family pieces, and repaired pieces for me. They are knowledgeable and passionate about what they do and that enthusiasm is contagious. In all my interactions with them they have been patient and taken the time to educate me on different gemstones and their properties. They listen to my ideas and make suggestions as to what will look best. Whether I am leaving with a new piece, a repaired or refurbished piece, they have always exceeded my expectations. They are the only jewelers I trust to be honest and fair. A shout out also goes to Lesa Hocutt who is a member of the Brummitt team and who I always enjoy working with alongside Russ and Mimi. I consider them all to be my friends as well as trusted and...
