Creating My Art, LLC — Local services in Raleigh

Regretfully, I feel obligated to share my family’s highly negative experience at Creating My Art. Neither children nor adults were given a code of conduct for appropriate behavior until they broke a “rule.” They were then subjected to public humiliation, shaming comments, and name-calling. An unnerving disregard for a student’s life-threatening nut allergy became apparent when the child was not allowed to read the label on snacks provided by staff and then was ridiculed for asking to do so. Security seemed woefully lacking. The code system provided to check the identity of adults picking up children was completely disregarded. The comfort of an unruly emotional support dog seemed far more important than the safety and well-being of adults who were frequent targets of being jumped on. Both of my children (ages 10 and 8) have been in various summer camps for many years, and after we found Ms. Tamara’s Art Camp, it was instantly their favorite! They love Ms. Tamara, her sweet animals, the daily trips to the greenway, and of course the art projects. They always come home with really unique creations, and we love that Tamara and her staff know them by name, even though they have loads of kids that cycle through there for daily or weekly camps. She greets them with hugs in the morning, and they are welcomed into a cozy environment where they can relax and create. We also love the flexibility of the schedule as it’s one of few camps consistently available on Teacher Workdays. In general, we are so glad to have this camp...

This is a revision to my original five-star review for Tamara if you see below one-star reviews she is being harassed by a neighbor who is defaming her and her business to be vindictive. She has worked for decades to build her business. Its her passion and lifes work. She cares deeply about her students and her dedication is unmatched.
