the most inviting, comfortable, exciting and chill experience ever with the best people in the cutest shop. i got tattooed by gus and karah about two weeks apart from each other. both artists offer amazing and unique flash, got me booked quickly via email, offered different printed sizes of the design for me to try out at the shop in the mirror, they checked in with me often throughout the session, made great conversation and they both offer free touch ups, as i think all tattoo artists should. gus’s stencil placement skills were spectacular: i asked for a freckle of mine to not be covered by the design and he was able to make my freckle apart of the tattoo without covering it as i requested—amazing. while working with karah, they introduced me to the wonders of bactine which i never even knew was an option!!! it helped a ton with managing the pain of a 2 hour session and i really appreciated them presenting that as an option for a portion of my tattoo especially since im not super used to machine tats.

the people that work here follow their clients’ lead — the artists encourage their clients to voice their boundaries and to offer and revoke consent at any time. tattooing is a very serious practice (it is permanent body art!) and i felt comfortable to ask questions and relax. for people who deal with anxiety and struggle advocating for themselves in any capacity (like i sometimes do) this is the space for you! not only did i experience this during both of my sessions but i also heard the clients around me having the same experience.

a huuuuge plus is that this is a queer friendly space and isn’t a traditional tattoo shop that centers m*n which is hard to find! masks are required in shop which is amazing and further highlights the safe atmosphere that all of the artists clearly work very hard to curate for their clients. i can’t say enough amazing things about this place and the people that work there. go to their instagram...

This place is the best!! I’m autistic and I had a lil cry meltdown (bc I got too hot outside) in the lobby before my appointment, and everyone was so compassionate (but not intrusive or pushy) and non-judgmental and gave me plenty of space to calm down how I needed. Frankee checked on me a few times to make sure I was okay and to make sure I was good to get tattooed, and the studio environment was so soothing that I was able to calm down pretty quickly. Gus was such a delight to talk to and be tattooed by! They even helped me realize some more gender stuff, and I now I’m transitioning! :) My tattoo took like an hour, it healed beautifully, and now I look at it all the time and think of that great experience and how proud I am to be autistic and queer! Highly recommend this shop! My first visit was to get my 5th tattoo but it would be great no matter what number you’re on. It was super clean, welcoming, and everyone I encountered was so friendly. I normally find tattoo shops to be quite intimidating but this was the exact opposite—cute decor, chill music selection, etc!! I booked a tattoo with Oli and it was a great experience.
