Sometimes you never realize it, but you've just walked into some family's American dream.
After looking at so many high scoring reviews, my girlfriend and I decided to drive to this place and give it a try since we love eating Korean food.
At first it was a little hard to find since it was nestled away in the back of a shopping center (where there was another Korean restaurant in front of it as well). I guess you could call it a bit of a hole-in-the-wall restaurant, but the interior was definitely clean and well maintained.
We were greeting by an older couple, definitely older and of retirement age and we assumed were the owners. She may not have the spry legs that she once had, but she did her best to quickly bring that cart to get us food.
We came on a Wednesday afternoon - It was a nice and quiet place, 3-4 other tables were seated, so it wasn't too noisy - and our food came pretty quickly since it was just the older couple taking care of us.
I ordered the dolsot bibimbap and my girlfriend ordered the pollack soup. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. The side dishes were some of the best I've had. My girlfriend said that her soup and the sides were probably some of the best she's had and she's traveled all around Asia, to the bay and So Cal.
Coming here, you definitely know you aren't getting 3 star Michelin service - it is what it is - an amazing mom and pop restaurant with cheaper prices and amazing flavors. They put all the care into their food and do their best they can to give you a positive experience.
After the pandemic with a lot of places closing down -when you see an older couple like this try to open a restaurant- you really just want to do what you can to help them succeed.
My girlfriend is hard to please, however this place definitely pleased her. So much so, she told me to go online and write a review for it. We'll definitely...

I'm so happy this place opened before our trip to Sacramento! None of the Korean places remotely close to where we live serve true authentic dishes, so I knew we had to stop here. The woman who served us was so sweet and funny, and was happy to explain the various side dishes after learning I, a non korean, was intentionally ordering Soondae to try it (she said she warns people because they label it as korean sausage instead of blood sausage). Everything we got was delicious and fresh/piping hot. The soondae exceeded my expectations. Their radish and fresh kimchi is super good! She even asked which Banchan we liked, and gave us extras to take home. We'll 100% come here whenever we're...
Read moreEverything was so delicious! We got beef tendon soup, grilled mackerel, and bulgogi. The tendon soup was the most flavorful out of all other Korean restaurants we’ve had it at, as well as the mackerel. It was the first time to see a place provide two pieces of mackerel instead of one, in one order. The bonchon was seasoned and pickled very well and tasted very fresh! Keep in mind though, this place is short on staff as it seems to be only family-run at the moment, so please be patient and expect to wait a bit for food to come out. Otherwise, the family themselves were very friendly and accommodating. Our mackerel was a tad bit undercooked just at the center and we had asked them to fry it a few additional minutes, they were nice about it :) I’ll be...
