I recently booked a pasta making class at The Chubby Cupboard, which was meant to be a special date after a long two-year break due to having a baby. Unfortunately, my experience was met with some communication and administrative issues that left me feeling disappointed.

After missing the payment deadline, I reached out and took responsibility for the delay. I also took the initiative to locate the invoice hoping to pay it. However, I was surprised that I didn’t receive any follow-up or reminder before the class was canceled. A simple reminder could have prevented the cancellation and made the process smoother for me. I also wouldn’t have minded paying an extra fee to keep the appointment and/or create a new invoice, if it meant keeping the class. The owner, Mari mentioned she would look into the system, claiming it would have sent me a reminder to pay, but I haven't heard back on that. I understand that policies are in place, and I accept that the delay was my responsibility. That said, the sudden cancellation due to a few days’ delay felt a bit harsh, considering it was an honest mistake.

I wish I could have experienced the class itself and shared my feedback on it. At this point, I am unsure if I will book again; however, I appreciate the professionalism, and I hope my feedback helps improve their proactive communication and the overall...

This fresh pasta & sauces shoppe is remarkable and fun! Mary makes all of it fresh. Beautiful Pastas made with arugula purée, chestnut flour, lemon zest & juice. And sauces to die for, with and without Parmesan cheese. I kept the incredible arugula and lemon zest pestos. My partner brought the additional 3 pasta sauces, including a marinara, to our sons. The ingredients that Mary uses are fresh, the colors are vibrant, prices are reasonable and the taste of everything I purchased (& promptly sampled) is soooo good!

I am so excited the chubby cupboard now has a brick and mortar store front because now I can get more of this delicious pasta instead of just on Saturdays at the farmers market. I’ve always just used normal store bought pasta but trying this pasta made me realize how big of an impact high quality pasta makes when cooking.
