Carmichael Recreation and Park District — Attraction in California

Lots of tennis courts and the people were respectful when I asked for our tennis balls from over the fence. There are baseball fields on all corners of the park as well as a small disc golf course that wraps around the park. Other than the high foot traffic areas, the grass is quite green and didn't see a lot of homeless considering it was almost 9:00p when I left. Fun night! Went for 1st time last year and really enjoyed it. Fireworks show was really nice. Crowd wasn’t bad either. It’s obviously very popular as the last few hours was extremely crowded. Drawbacks - not enough food/drink vendors. Definitely not enough restrooms; from about 7:00 on the line just got bigger and bigger. Waited about 20 minutes to get into one. Should have gone earlier when there were very few...

Carmichael Park is a great place to go! By yourself or with others. It's free, can't beat that! For me the best part is the small yet comfy-cozy "Flea Market"! It's on dependably every Sunday from 8a to 2-4p, rain or shine! Handicrafts, food - eat.there or take home, always an enjoyable minstrel playing music, fresh.produce, i personally love the homemade tamales...
