Took our 10yr old daughter to the doc yesterday, where he described what she had as a raging ear infection that was clearly causing a ton of pain. By the time we left the doc’s office before 2pm I had already received a confirmation from Walgreens that the scripts had been called in. I waited ALL DAY for the second script to be ready. At 8pm I finally called to find out what was going on as they closed in an hour. I spoke to David, and he said go ahead and come down, we’ll have it ready. I got all the way there (come to find out it’s in the middle of nowhere), and I get all the way back just to find out that they never mixed the antibiotics. Of course, they were closed by this point. So the next day we go all the way back, and then we wait in the drive thru in 109 degree heat while we go completely ignored, and watched them help every person in line in the store ahead of us. When we FINALLY get acknowledged, after what felt like forever of us baking in the Sacramento July sun while they helped multiple people who weren’t ahead of us, I finally get Phil who doesn’t make this situation better at all. They took the meds and finally fixed them, he hands them back, no apology, no “have a good day”, nothing. We will NEVER visit this location again. Their absolute incompetence caused an additional day of suffering for my child, & then their piss poor excuse for customer service made it that much worse. Very clear why your store has the review score it does. Utterly shameful and inexcusable work conduct. Some job positions can’t have major mistakes! I have had some issues already with how long they take to fill or refill a prescription, especially when it’s sent electronically, but this morning was absolutely ridiculous. My doctor sent an electronic prescription Monday evening and I waited a couple hours to pick it up. Apparently it had got mixed up somewhere in their system and was told it was out of stock. Since it was after 5pm, they had to order it the next day for pick up Wednesday. So I had to wait a whole day without it which was fine. I call Wednesday morning to ask when it would be ready for pickup and unfortunately, it wasn’t even in the delivery they received. Very unapologetic (even though the pharmacy tech says he was, only after I mentioned it), my only option was to either go all the way to Arden or Antelope if I needed the medication same day or wait till 11:30-12 the next day IF they receive it and get to it after going through the whole shipment of other meds. Also he was not “doing me the favor” by looking for my medication in the pharmacy since it should’ve been there (but again, the pharm tech said he didn’t state that either). And he was very unprofessional arguing with me about being upset because they messed up. The status of my prescription even says it will be ready today but I’m sure they wouldn’t have even told me that they didn’t receive it unless I called. Read moreWorst pharmacy ever! They definitely don't care about the health needs customers have, which is the ONLY reason people are there to begin with. They don't EVER answer their phones unless it's to mumble a brief second while they hit the hold button and leave you there until the phone rings again. Ugly cycle. I was on hold this time 30 minutes before the phone finally rang over a minute then someone picked up and hung up. I called back and the cycle was repeated. I don't have the type of patience to do this but if it wasn't a medical need that affects my baby's health, I wouldn't even bother. Walking in, is just as bad.. waiting in line 30 minutes to be told the prescription hasn't been filled when it was called in by the provider 8 hours earlier is unacceptable. I do get sometimes coming across these issues but this is a norm for this store. It won't let me leave it at 0 stars so I reluctantly selected the one just to get this review in. This store should absolutely be scrutinized by the Better Business Bureau.
They don't call or text as are supposed to when they have to order your supplies so if you want to call to follow up, good luck! And if you show up.. GOOD LUCK!
