Jimboy’s Tacos — Restaurant in Rancho Cordova

This was actually a pleasant surprise, I was looking for more of a restaurant type of place, so when I walked thru the door, I almost walked right back out because it seemed to be more of a fast food type. But I decided to give it a try and was happy I did. I ordered a combo plate that consisted of a carnitas taco and an enchilada plus beans and rice. Everything was delicious. The employee that took my order was very polite and patient with my indecisiveness, and helped me out with settling for my order. The one thing I was a little dissatisfied about was the chips and salsa. They charge you extra for a small single bag of stale chips and the salsa is in tiny little containers that you have to get 4 or more of just to eat with the chips, and then 4 more for the meal...seems like a lot of stuff going into the landfill...but all in all I left with a full, satisfied belly and a...

This was actually my second time trying Jimboy's Tacos. The first time was about 12 years ago at their Roseville location, and I didn’t enjoy it back then,, it was too salty and lacked flavor. However, my husband has always said they’re good, so I decided to give it another try, especially since this was a different location. The girl at the register was super friendly and welcoming, and even the lady working in the kitchen was very nice. The food was good this time. You know people are trying way too hard on food and combining anything to make it their own. Jimboy's you need to go back to the kitchen and learn how to remake your brand. This has to be some of the worst food I have ever purchased. Who in their right mind puts parmesan cheese on their Mexican food? I will say their taquitos we're just about the only edible food. I'm sorry I don't think I will be coming back to this place or ever recommend any of your locations to my family and friends.
