I absolutely love my table from barn and beam! It looks like a gorgeous table you could buy from restoration hardware for $5000, yet it only cost a fraction of that price (less than $1500). And, when you purchase from places like Restoration Hardware or Crate & barrel, sometimes the wood is not actually solid wood, sometimes it includes other fabricated materials. With barn and beam, you get beautifully handcrafted custom dining room tables, all solid wood. I live in Chicago, and they delivered my table and installed it in less than 20 minutes.

They put four different coatings on the top of the table, and since I have two kids the regularly beat up on the table, this was the number one thing that I was looking for - durability. And this table delivers in spades! You don’t need to use coasters, my kids spill food and water on it constantly, they’ve dinged it up and banged it with crayons and other art supplies, and you would still never know. We are thrilled with our custom dining table from Barn & Beam. We specifically wanted something extremely durable and solid with a more modern/industrial design. After looking at big box stores and mass produced retailers, I quickly realized I was not going to get the quality and design I wanted. We then considered looking into Amish made furniture - no doubt very nice, but very out of our budget with a crazy lead time. Then we were referred to Barn & Beam by a friend. When we went to their showroom, the owner was extremely friendly, helpful and genuine. Didn’t have that “salesman” personality that can be off putting. The combination of outstanding quality, customization and affordability was a no-brainer for us. For us, it was about a 3-4 week lead time, which I think is plenty quick for a custom made to order piece. Great communication from beginning to end. They even send you a photo of the finished piece before delivery. All furniture is of very high quality. The chairs are the heaviest we own, and the narrow 15' table is very sturdy. Custom dimensions are perfect. The end table needed to fit tightly over our subwoofer, and they made sure it had a nice tight fit. Delivery workers were very friendly, and they even fit our 15' table through a basement window and assembled it onsite for no additional cost.
