Horrific Customer Service and Buyer Be Aware - Invasive Maypop Passion Flower! in 2024 I purchased a variety of plants totaling over $800 from Jung Seed Company. Among these plants was the Maypop Passion Flower, which was misrepresented, as it was not labeled "invasive." The plant caused significant destruction in my garden, spreading rapidly across an area of 4' x 8', invading nearby plants and even spreading outside the flower box. When I called the company to inquire about this particular plant, they confirmed that it was indeed invasive. At that point, my husband, my children and I decided to dig it out and strain the entire area to remove any remaining roots. This task required a great deal of time and effort. Months later, I received their magazine again and checked to see if the Maypop Passion Flower had since been labeled as invasive—it had not. I called the company and requested reimbursement for the plant and partial compensation for the labor we exerted to clean up the damage it caused. I spoke with several representatives, including Vicky and a supervisor named Erin. When I asked to speak to the top person in the company, they refused to give me a last name, but I was easily able to find the name Brian Isaacs online. Long story short, they told me that their responsibility was not to label the plants accurately and accordingly, but simply to sell them. They shifted the burden of due diligence onto me, suggesting I should research the internet and believe anyone, anything and whatever is posted about any plant, including passion flowers, even though they themselves confirmed to me its invasive nature. Erin, one of the supervisors, was rude and interrupted me repeatedly while I was speaking. When I asked not to be interrupted, she threatened to hang up on me. Jung Seed Company should be on the Better Business Bureau's radar. This is not a company that takes responsibility or corrects its mistakes. Their customer service is horrific, both in how they speak to customers and how they handle issues. They seem to care only about profit, often at the expense of customer harm. Save yourself time and money and do not do business with this fraudulent company!

Read moreOkay, it's July now, and I have upgraded my rating again, because every single thing I ordered from Jung is growing and thriving and making us very happy about the garden, as well as the new trees and shrubs. They were wonderful about making the order work for us. Thanks Jung!
Today I recieved a phone call from the Jung Seed Company and was assured that my order is pending. They did not claim it went out already, nor did they mince words. The caller simply explained why they are struggling to keep up with both, order processing, and even contacting customers. Further, they discussed my personal gardening hopes and addressed how they could still help me make those goals work. I could not ask for more. I was not asked to change my review, but am very glad to give them a cautious 4 star review with the potential for a 5th star, when they fufill the high standard set in today's phone call.
Side note: When I told my dad about this experience he told me my grandpa (one of the best gardeners I ever knew) would go out to Randolph every spring to get seed from Jung. I like that.
This was my original review: So far my experience with this company has been that they will quickly take your money and process payment, but are slow to process the items purchased, and completely abandoned any customer service or contact. They processed payment in 24hrs but dispite 3 emails and a phone call, have not indicated whether they will be able to fulfill my order or not. Feels like I have...
Read moreI ordered several fruit and berry plants from them. Half of my order was delivered but it didn’t say anything about the other half. I called to ask for tracking info on the other half and they said it was coming from a different department and to give it a week. 1 week later I call back and it turns out my items were never picked and many of them are now out of stock. I ordered the 4 pack of currants($60) and only two were available at this point since it was weeks after my original order. They offered to refund the $60 and send out the 2 they have but I would be charged full price($22 each). Apparently there is no way they can override the price in their system to give me the items I purchased at the price I purchased them. I’m very disappointed as it is likely too late in the season to find many of these plants and this company won’t even try to make it right with me. I will give them credit, they do have a customer service department that picks up the phone and tries to help, they just aren’t very helpful.
If you do order them make sure you are staying on top of your order and double checking what you receive. I will be ordering from somewhere...
