American Legion Hurd-Welch Post 90 — Local services in Raymond

To all Legion Members & Sons of the American Legion : I’ve been trying to find the right words to thank everybody that helped my husband ( a 26 years AF Vet , served in VietNam 68’-69’) and I , for doing the most thoughtful thing EVER ! My wonderful , smart hubby of 52 years is in his 3rd year of Dementia , and although is still a loving , functional , man , can no longer do what he used to do on a everyday basis . He gets frustrated easily , at things he can’t figure out , that wouldn’t have been a second thought 5 years ago . Anyway, I had purchased a Shelter Logic tent thing from Tractor Supply, and didn’t have a clue how I was going to get this thing built . ( To store our outdoor equipment in ) A good friend , Lisa , mentioned it to someone , & George Plante called within a few days saying they’d get it done . We had a great conversation . The next day , James Littlewood ( what a great guy too !) called me to get more information on size , etc . & arrived Sunday morning & pretty much single handedly built this 20 ft. structure SO fast , I couldn’t believe it !! Literally was whipping it out in no time 😊😞 My son Chad helped out , and so didn’t a great guy , Aaron & his wife Hope Getting that big cover over the frame was not easy either……. Its the NCO club with constant fundraising for local people and events! The Annual ice golf tourney/chili contest on Pawtuckaway lake in February is a great example. A fun time and another $5k raised for CHAD AND THERE IS NO POOL TABLE!!! How can you offer a review, obviously you have never visited.
