In July 2024, I was sent to this store by Google to have a cracked screen repaired on my Pixel 7a under warranty. Nothing was wrong except the screen was cracked, it still functioned fine with the crack. Everything went well with the visit, except when the employee told me "one more thing you have to do before I give you back your phone. You have to go on Google and give us a 5-star review." Which I thought was weird. Within 4 months, the new screen became periodically unresponsive to touch, eventually failing completely. I took the phone back and they repaired it, but this time without the friendliness, and with argument and attitude. Within 2 weeks of the fix, the screen started to detach from the phone bezel. A month later the screen developed a white/green vertical line on the right side of the screen, one week later the screen became completely unresponsive to touch. When I returned to the store the employee, who I spoke with during every visit there, told me that the warranty on the phone had expired after the last visit and they could not fix the phone without me paying them $160 out of pocket. I told them the problem was not a Google issue but a workmanship issue. The person proceeded to lie to me that my phone was "eating screens" and there was nothing wrong with their work, even though the screen was detaching from the phone bezel. After further analysis, I discovered that this store does shoddy work and then, instead of guaranteeing their work, they just keep filing warranty claims with Google every time their work fails, and pocket the cash! Once the warranty expires, they cannot make any more money off of your device, and they stick it to you. I have read other reviews posted about this store and the screen issue I am dealing with is apparently a common problem that occurs here. I have engineering background and decided to just fix the phone myself instead of dealing with the terrible attitude and lies from this store. When I opened up the phone, I discovered a remarkable level of damage that this store has done to my phone - SEE THE ATTACHED PHOTOS. After cleaning up their crap, and fixing their mess, the screen returned to its proper working condition. Honestly, I am confounded that Google sends people to this store. Note that if you purchase a Google protection plan, this is the company that will do the work! I can't speak to this company's other locations, but avoid this scam store...
Read moreI personally would not recommend this particular store. I watched the Tech(not going to name names) give someone the wrong phone and had them sign paper work for the wrong phone. The customer had told them roughly 3 times it wasnât their phone. Then when dealing with me, I had insurance on my phone, they seemingly ignored or forgot the fact that I had insurance, and told me it would be roughly $80 for a new battery. After it was squared away that I did have insurance, I left my phone for an hour. After returning to the store, my phone now had a broken screen. The tech then denied breaking the phone, and tried to get me to buy a new screen $250 for an aftermarket to $400 for an Apple screen. Having insurance on the phone, a new screen shouldâve only been $30. But seeing how it wasnât broken till after the tech handled it, I couldnât fathom having to pay for something they broke. Especially paying hundreds for it, when at most it should be $30. Once I mentioned that I believed they broke the phone they denied all responsibility, put the old broken battery back in, and sent me on my way with my initial problem not being resolved, and now a broken screen on top of it. The manager Pat sided with his tech and told me there wasnât anything they could do, and for me to take a claim through my provider. After contacting my provider, they told me it goes through Asurion and not them. So I contacted Asurion customer service, and they were very helpful, professional, and understanding of the situation. They seemed surprised with my interaction and said they would be dealing with it accordingly. I highly recommend Asurion, but I highly disapprove of this particular store, itâs tech, and itâs manager. I would be highly cautious of the shady business of this particular store if itâs your only place to go. Asurion gets a 9/10 for me but this store gets a 1/10. I wish you better luck than I had,...
Read moreDeserves 0 stars. Should be called âu break we break moreâ. Brought in my perfectly working phone with a cracked screen, was told it would be 2 hours which I first found surprising. 3 hours later I went back only to be told it would be âjust a minuteâ yet I stood in the front ignored for 30 mins when I said I was on a 15 min break. Come to find out no one wanted to tell me they BROKE MY WHOLE PHONE. then tried to blame it on me but again, it was working perfectly fine prior. Then, they say theyâll take responsibility (because obviously itâs their fault) and replace it saying thereâs overnight shipping options. This was on a Tuesday, I was then told the replacement wouldnât be in until FRIDAY so their incompetency made me waste vacation time at work because I cannot work without my phone. When I finally went to pick up the replacement they charged me an astronomical fee which was never disclosed when they advised theyâd be replacing the phone. So not only do they not know what theyâre doing but their customer service, if you can call it that, is severely lacking. Communication was sparse and unhelpful. Youâre better off buying a screen fix kit off Amazon and doing it yourself because clearly these people donât know what...
