Five adults 3 kids.. We rented two lanes, one for the kids, and one for the adults. The night started out great. We ordered drinks and food, we planned to hang out for a while. The short of the long is halfway through our second string we noticed a group of people standing behind us but awkwardly. They asked me to move our food off the table so they could sit down... I was pretty confused since that was the only place for us to put our food.. The woman seemed to think she had the right to take the table we were paying for. I did notice an elderly woman who seemed uncomfortable do I offered to move the food so she could sit. While talking with her she informed me that they had rented the lanes we were on for a birthday party. She apologized for the awkwardness but she did everything she was supposed to do. The employees never told us at any point there was a time limit on the lanes, had they done so we would have let the kids bowl and go elsewhere to eat. The manager told us we should have known because they had a message on the screen scrolling that said the lanes we're reserved. Im not sure if I've ever read these scrolls because typically that's where an ad would run. We were upset that after ordering food for 8 people and planned to hang and let everyone have fun that no one actually made the effort to tell us that this was the case. At the very least when we started ordering food and drinks they should have told us of the planned event. We ended up tossing the food since there was no where to move with the large crowd behind us trying to push there way in and us with our trays of food and drinks. Very poor managment. Wish they told us sooner, we wouldn't have spent almost $240! Just bad night all around. We won't...
Read moreI use to come here in the 1980’s with my dad all the time and the 1990s. It became a favorite place to bowl and play the arcade games. I just went there and not much has changed. The entrance is in the front now and they have both candlepin and ten pin. It use to be all candlepin. I think it’s great you can choose. You can order food at a touch of a button at your lane but I choose not to do that. The food is very highly priced. Be prepared to spend almost $40 an hour to bowl. Back in the day it was per game but my friend and I stayed for 2 hours and got a lot of games done. That rate is for up to 6 people which isn’t bad at all. I only give the 4 stars due to the food prices. Had they been lower I would of ordered from it. The staff was nice and helpful. Definitely a place to take the family to have a great time out. Music was playing and everyone there was having a great time.
Edit: upon thinking about my review we did go a second time and plan to go monthly. We had a good time. It’s good to know that some nights they have leagues so I would call ahead just to make sure. We wanted to do tenpin but they had leagues which is perfectly fine. I am changing my 4 star to 5 stars because yes the food is pricey but you don’t have to get food. It’s a connivence to be able to order it. I brought my outside water because I’ve had organ transplants and they never say anything. I did purchase a bottle of water from them which was $2. Reasonable. Can’t wait to go next month. I did see another review on here that said they did 2 strings for $40. They would of had to done 2 strings in an hour time to pay $40. When it’s me and my friend we play 6 or 7 games for 2 hours and split the $80 cost so we both pay $40 for 2 hours. It’s...
Read moreMy son and I went to Ryan’s in Raynham for some bowling and games. Watching my son playing the different games and earning tickets was a joy. As he was nearing the end of the amount left on his Players card he opted to use his balance on a claw machine. The manager (Mary) saw Cameron playing the claw machine and walked over to encourage him. He tried a few times with no luck, but close a few times. He was down to his last try and Mary gave him a little talk. Full of confidence my son went for the large seal that he has been attempting to grap these last few times. As he swiped the Players card for the last time Mary, myself and a few others rooted him on. As the claw descended to the large seal the claw grabbed hold of it’s body. It lifted it up still holding on. Now we were praying that it would not drop it on it’s way to the retrieving area like it had done a few times prior. This time my son was successful. Mary told him that it is her goal to see every kid leave with something. When it came time to cash in his tickets, he had enough to get the alarm clock he had his eye on. All in all it was a great day for my son. He would tell me later that it was the best ever. Thinking about our day between the bowling and game area it was nice to know that there is a place nearby that the kids love (adults too). Mary’s hospitality was the icing on the cake. As we drove home my son decided to name his seal. Once he had a name he asked me to guess. After a few incorrect answers I said is it Mary? I looked for his response in the rear view mirror. With a big smile on his face, he said yes! We look forward to going...
