I took my first instruction course through Seaplane Scenics. The flight and instruction were 5 stars. The reason it is receiving 4 stars is because of Shelly, the person working the phones.
I called with questions about the different packages. They have lots of cool options but I wanted to make sure I made the right decision for what I was looking for. Shelly made that a lot more difficult than it needed to be. She seemed scattered and unable to clearly and politely explain the different options.
She constantly spoke over me so I kept having to repeat question because she wasn’t taking the time to understand what I was looking for.

Read moreI'm really happy I found Seaplane Scenics to get my seaplane rating. I traveled from out of state and could not have been happier. Everyone there was very friendly, so helpful and full of insightful information. James the owner and head flight instructor has to be one of my favorite CFIs yet. He has a great sense of humor to help make you feel comfortable while also having years of experience and patience to get you learning how to control a seaplane. All of Seaplane Scenics employees were just the friendliest people I've dealt with. Always ready to help. Additionally Charlie the DPE Seaplane Scenics used is hands down the best interaction I've ever had with an Examiner before. If you're considering getting a seaplane rating I'd definitely give these folks a call. You'll...

Then we headed east and flew over over Seattle. We saw the locks and the UW main campus. Then we flew south to downtown and over Elliott Bay. Then we headed back to Renton. as we were approaching Renton, the pilot asked my wife if she wanted to handle the controls. She did and she loved it. She wants to do more. We expect to do more flights. We liked it so much that we are now dreaming of...
