Main Street Hobby & Bikes — Local services in Richland Center

I had a great experience with Main Street Hobby and Bike Shop, Richland Center, WI. I was searching for a good quality bike for my daughter and was looking at Marin Bicycles online. Main Street was listed as the nearest dealer in the area. I live in Madison so I gave them a call. I talked to Karin, who suggested several bikes, new and used, that were similar to the one I called about. I asked if I could drive out and see one of them. Even though the shop was closing for the day and the size I needed was still in the box, I was told that the owner would have it ready by the time I got there the next day, which it was.

I arrived at the family-owned, bike, hobby (think RC vehicles) and skate shop and was greeted at the door along with another customer there to test an E-bike. Frankie, the owner, came out from doing repairs to help. I took him up on a couple of test rides on some bikes that caught my eye as well as the one I came for. He made sure everything was right on the bike before I made my purchase and honestly I had to get going before I was tempted to take a second look at bike for myself. I was making a minor purchase for a couple of nuts for my bike's front tire axle. When I walked in I was greeted by a friendly smiling woman. She immediately went to the back of the store and came out a couple of minutes later with two nuts. I could see they were not brand new, but I didn't care. I asked her how much I owed her for them and she said nothing. I told her I had to pay her something, so I gave her a $5 bill. I know it is not easy running your own business in these trying times and I told her she could use the five dollars. I am very appreciative of them having the store and being so customer oriented. Great place! Got interested in ebikes about a year ago. Looked for a local shop and found Mainstreet Hobby and Bike. Friendly and welcoming - answered all of my questions and I asked a bunch. Frankie is a wealth of information and put me on a radmini for a test drive. An hour later I returned. What fun - was like being 12 years old again! As a result, ordered radmini direct and shipped to Mainstreet. Frankie set it up and fine-tuned everything. He even allowed me to watch and answered even more questions.
