If i could give NO STARS I WOULD! My family and i visited on 6/13/2025 my daughter wanted some tacos so i figured we would make this a Friday night outing when walked into the restaurant the energy is not welcoming they wanted to seat use directly next to the door. We asked to be seated in their new open space however that was not an option only if the restaurant had overflow so its like whats the point of having a full space if you aren't going to space people out. The table we got made a clicking noise every-time you moved and was sticky from these thick leather table clothes they put on them. My mom ordered the steak and fries medium rare. However she got a thin steak well done that came out on burnt up piece of metal dont know what to call it. And a full plate of watery mixed veggies that you get from Walmart and handful of fries on top. Food was not seasoned VERY BLAND! She had to get up to ask a waiter for A1 sauce that you can clearly tell they had added water to disgusting! My daughter ordered the Carnitas she didnt like them but still tried to be a good sport because she wanted tacos. My son ordered the taco salad with chicken took one bite and didnt eat it the chicken had a pink color to it and smelled off. I got the taco salad with beef i was able to eat my food with lots of taco hot sauce. The chips they brought to the table were hard stale. And the customer service horrible non existent! They didnt ask us if we needed anything no refills nothing until we were done. We couldnt tell who our waitress was their entire wait staff stood at the front which was like 6-7 people the whole time speaking in Spanish laughing loudly they were the loudest in the restaurant and kept looking over at our table VERY UNCOMFORTABLE! Had they spent more time checking on their tables and making sure the customers were ok they wouldnt get bad reviews on customer service. It was an overall horrible experience we will continue to go to Madison where the food is good and customer service is better. I notice the owners are telling people to come back that the service will be better but it should be that way no matter what not because a review is bad! And it clearly shows the food hasnt gotten better and neither has their customer service!!! Do not recommend don’t do it go home and make tacos! Disappointing evening to what we thought would be good food...
Read moreFrom Chicago and traveled to Richland to stay at the Anaway Cabins. After a couple of days and a tiresome hike, we opted to go out to eat instead of cooking. Los Amigos 2 did NOT disappoint!
We were greeted politely and friendly, given FRESH chips and salsa (Very mild! Not spicy, how I like it!).
I am the daughter of a Mexican immigrant. The chicken in the enchiladas suizas verde reminded me of the chicken my parents make. Having a little taste of home is ALWAYS a good thing. I would've preferred a little more melted cheese on my enchiladas, I guess the lactose intolerant Gods were looking out for me. The rice and beans that came on the side were delicious and were cooked to perfection. I like to dip my chips in the beans and rice with a bit of sour cream. So good!!
He ordered tacos de asada, and they were also delicious! They used El Milagro tortillas, which are TOP tier if you know anything about tacos.
I'm a horchata connoisseur (kinda, haha), but theirs did NOT disappoint! I also ordered a cantarito (tequila, lime, squirt, chamoy/tajin rim), it was my first time having one. Reminiscent of a Paloma.
The staff was pleasant and friendly, although I spoke Spanish, they were sure to address customers in English, and I did not notice anyone speaking Spanish around non-Spanish speaking customers.
After dinner, we took a walk to their basement tienda (grocery store) and was again pleasantly surprised to see products not just from Mexico but from Latin America as well.
Felt adventurous and bought a six pack of Toña beer from Nicaragua, reminded me a little of a Heineken. If that's your jam, make your way down and pick up a sixer and a bag of chicharrones (pork rinds). Your taste buds will...
Read moreI was recommended to eat here by the WRCO Sports Broadcasting guys and man am I glad I listened to them. Food-wise, I got guacamole and queso to go with my chips and salsa and I absolutely loved the chips along with everything I dipped them in! The shrimp chimichangas were amazing and those along with the sides (and a good amount of chips) did more than enough to make sure I wouldn’t leave with an empty stomach. Somehow overshadowing the food aspect, the staff was absolutely phenomenal. I was sat at the bar since I was by myself for context, but it was a crazy busy night and man was the staff absolutely on top of everything! Orders were coming out at such a fast pace and even among the (controlled) chaos the staff that served me was so personable and calm, I would have been happy with just the amazing food but the staff turned it into a top notch eating experience! I’m going to make sure I eat here every time I’m in or driving through Richland Center. I would highly recommend those looking for great Mexican cuisine served by a friendly and attentive staff...
