Took my J45 to Tony's to have a new saddle made because the action was too low and the saddle was very sloppy in the slot and was badly tilted towards the neck. So what I got for $125.00 was an attempt at a truss rod adjustment and a piece of wood glued to the bottom of the old saddle. When I got home with the guitar and after a closer look I could tell the neck was still way off and the saddle was worse than before. I loosened the strings to look at the saddle and discovered the shim he had glued to the bottom of the saddle was a piece of soft wood. Looking farther I found that the bottom of the saddle was not flat. The pickup wasn't picking up the middle strings when I plugged it in because the saddle was in such sad shape. I will never ever let this shop touch any of my instruments again. If you need a string change or something small take your instrument some where else. By the way I watched some YouTube videos and made my own saddle adjusted my own truss rod and my J45 sounds and plays...

We are...
Read moreI took my limited edition American Standard Strat to a guy a friend recommended for a setup. The truss rod was broken and the guy started tearing into it without talking to me first. The guitar was still under warranty… I got it back and the headstock was completely mangled. I took it to Tony to see if he could help. He got his Fender rep on the phone, explained what happened on my behalf, and got Fender to replace the neck with a Custom Shop neck. Then he hooked me up with an amazing USA guitar I had been trying to find for years. His setups are always on point. He’s also as friendly as it...
