Actually I wanted to give this Penny Wise store a negative star but there was no way to do it. I am a avid & regular penny wise store customer since the business 1st opened. I shop not just at this penny wise Richmond store but I shop at all 4 penny wise stores everyday 5 times a week. I stopped in to shop at the penny wise Richmond store Saturday morning on February 16th how I was treated in this store by the store manager was absolutely inexplicable!!!!!! It all stated when I asked the store manager about details & prices on their silverware. I 1st asked the manager if her silverware she is selling real silver which is "sterling silver " or is it silver plated. She was at the front counter merchandising & told me it's real silver but didn't even bother to turn around to give me a few minutes to talk vto me & blew me off. I asked her again another question and that if her store ever gets in a full complete sterling silver tea pot set's because I wanted to buy a set. She the began to get agitated, raised her voice talking to me really crazy popping the back of her 2 hands together. My reaction was WOW...OMG...I could not believe that penny wishe non profit organization hired this type of person as a store manager to talk so offensive and crazy to her customers. This store manager was very rude,offensive and very disrespectful to her everyday paying customer. In all the years and all the many stores I have shopped at thgis store manager at penny wise store in Richmond TX is the worst place of business. This lady does nit belong in a store that ask for donations for women's causes, she does not belong in any area of customer service because she havery no respect for her customers or for the cause of her business. Her profane & ghetto actions towards her customers were intentional & non-regretful. I am not going accept this kind of behavior & I taking my money & business somewhere else. I will never spend another penny and will never donate another item to penny wise business that hires these kind of employees, & one more thing I wanted to say to this store manager before I left her store but didn't because it was not worth my time & that is as a store manager she should not lie & deceive her customers selling silver plated silverware as sterling silver when it is actually silver on copper. This is no store manager, she doesn't even know any knowledge of her products screwing & grossly overcharging her customers on fake silverware. ...anyone who reads this post, stay away from this penny wise store...

I felt I needed to chime in to clarify something I know about the Pennywise store that will help customers understand something about SOME of the STAFF. Some of the "staff" are not paid staff, but instead people working off community service hours. It is likely that many of the people that are being complained about are just every day people who have community service hours to work off and have been assigned to PennyWise to work their time. I have never had a bad experience with the STAFF at PennyWise, however I have had a few moments of rudeness from the community service "Volunteers" from time to time. I still love this store and the purpose behind it. If you do not know, the proceeds from the sales help to fund the Fort Bend Women's Center, which is a place for battered and abused women and their children to land in an emergency situation. I highly recommend this store. I donate here and shop here regularly. They also have great sales and have a program where you can purchase a purple bag and on a specific day everything you can fit in the...
