Yedang — Local services in Ridgefield

I have been a patron of Ridgefield Yedang for many years (15+). Their dduk quality has become inconsistent and customer service has severely deteriorated as well. My last couple of notable experiences prompted this review. Once I bought "honey-filled" song-pyun dduk, but when we tasted them at home, there was no honey inside. Yedang refused to believe me, accept responsibility, or apologize for their mistake. This weekend, we bought another kind of dduk with sweet beans filling inside, but the fillings had already gone bad. Again, Yedang denied the possibility of their fillings going bad, did not apologize, and refused to offer exchange or refund. The woman (regularly at the register) offered a terrible condescending attitude instead. (Seems like many are complaining about the same rude woman!) They lost a long-time customer as I will...

After having YeDang, I have hardly had any 떡 (rice cakes) from anywhere else. The rainbow rice cakes, the green sookduk, and the baramduk are my personal favorites. It’s located in the HMart strip mall in Ridgefield so there are plenty of parking spots. The ladies are generally very nice but seems to be mainly Korean speaking. It is by far the most tasty and I would recommend you eat it relatively quickly as it will melt in your mouth. The few dollars more you spend is worth it.The parking is easy. First of all, with all the understanding of being one of the busiest day of the year, I am still so upset with their customer service and unprofessionalism.

We are celebrating my niece's first birthday and ordered a round rainbow rice cake with writings on top, only to find out upon picking up that they had the pick up date wrong (yesterday instead of today) and had cut up our cake into individual pieces. Also they were square cake to begin with and no writing. SMH. They never apologized and yelled at my mom instead for not picking up her phone, again when double checking they've been calling some other number this whole time.

So now we have our families who flew over from near and far to celebrate Thanksgiving and my niece's birthday with no main cake.

The employee never apologized during this entire process, with them messing up everything from beginning til the end. Very rude towards customer with attitude issues. Rice cake might be good but I'm never returning again and won't be recommending this place to anybody else.

오늘 연중 바쁜날중 하나인걸 이해못하는건 아니나, 조카 돌 무지개떡 케잌 픽업갔는데 고객서비스와 직원분의 태도에 어이가 없네요. 픽업 날짜도 잘못알고 전화번호도 적힌거와 다르게 체크 제대로 안하시고 잘못누르시곤 픽업갔더니 전화를 왜 이렇게 안받냐고 벌컥 화내시질 않나, 오늘 픽업인데 어제인줄 알았다며 케잌을 다 짤라놓으시고 집에가서 잘 붙여서 쓰라니.. 이건 무슨 경우죠? 그리고 잘라놓은 케잌도 보면 저희는 동그란 무지개 떡에 "축 첫돌"이 쓰여있기로 되어있었는데 잘린 케잌은 다 직사각형이고 글씨도 없네요. 지금 조카네는 엘레이에서 왔는데 돌상에 메인 케잌이 없네요. 끝까지 사과도 안하시고 자신의 잘못을 다 저희쪽으로 뒤집어 씌우시고 너무 어이가 없고 한심하네요. 아침에 한시간이나 가서 픽업갔는데 시간 낭비였네요. 여기서 주문하지마세요!!...
