Food Lion — Local services in Ridgeland

Well. How to start. Most of the staff is decent. Not too many bad apples. There are some that need adjusting but overall ok. I was helping out at the check out by bagging my items so the cashier did not have to rush or go crazy because she had a line. I never want to add stress to an employee of an establishment that I am getting a service from. Well this cashier thought that she was just going to stand there and let me finish bagging my groceries. No it wasn't a customer only bagging thing going on. I saw her bagging for everyone else. The customer would stand there while she did all the hard work and they did not help a bit. Well I wont do that again in her line. She stood there and just watched me bag my groceries with the look of "hurry! I have a line!" I was so embarrassed and taken back. I could not believe my eyes.

Then there are the golf carts. Super cool idea. I think it is great that people can golf cart down and shop. Well the people on those carts are not that great. They drive everywhere. No speed limitations or any driving laws apply to them. Then they go instead and shop and walk the same crazy way they drive. I could not believe an elderly lady almost ran me over with her shopping cart to get to the beer section. I love they take the extra steps to be nice to the golf cart community but lets not make then think they own...

Joe kicks Ass. If there is more than one, Joe that works at the store, the Joe I’m talking about is tall, tan/darker skin and the best dark brown or black curly hair that falls right above his shoulders. I would say that he is close to 34 years old. I was in there looking for something and could not find it, and Joe walked by and asked me if I needed any help finding anything to which I replied, “ yeah, my brain. Have you seen it?“ Joe told me that he had not seen my brain, but he would be happy to help me look for it. He said that he had an idea of were it might be and together we walked around and looked in four or five different places. Joe and I then came to the conclusion that I must have not left/lost my brain here…. well, At least not at this location! Fair rating for quick pick-up, dark lobby, most deli clerks have attitude, expensive bakery items that aren't made in store.

2/11/22: We still generally use this store for quick items & the convenience of the location to Sun City. The remodeling of the store is a great improvement. The majority of the Deli employees have gotten better. The Bakery is still very disappointing. The Gentlemen at the check outs are very nice! I understand you are having some problems right now in getting Turkey Hill Iced Tea but when things do get back to "normal" I would like to suggest you order more Diet Green Tea. It seems like that is the product that you run out...
