Grand Victoria Casino & Resort — Local services in Rising Sun

This is a smaller riverboat casino with several floors. It's very dated. I can not stay in the casino a long time due to the smell. It's too overpowering and makes me nauseous. They have around 10 or 12 table games, including roulette and craps. I don't think I've ever seen more than 6 open at a time, though, and they close really early through the week. I've never hit a hand pay here, but I'm not gonna get on here and complain about tight slots like you'll see in most casino reviews. I never go to any casino expecting to win. I believe they only have one cocktail waitress, Maria, and she's awesome. Beer and alcohol are cheaper at this casino than they are at any of the others in the tri-state area. The employees are friendly and helpful. The casino floor and bathrooms are clean. There is a deli type of restaurant right before you enter the casino that serves Skyline Chili and other food. Literally my favorite casino. I live 10 minutes away from hard rock but I drive 45 minutes to come to rising star because everyone is so much friendlier. It is an out dated casino in the best way possible. I dont like the clubby flashy loud casinos. I wanna relax and have a good and rising star is perfect for me. Well, what can you say; It's a casino. Some folks are tickled to death. Some are zombies just throwing their money in the slots or chips in the kitty. The employees look like they are somewhere else most of the time. Some are friendly, and most seem to not want to be bothered with questions. Bristro's is about the only venue in the place that is worth your time. The food and service are top-notch, and prices are fair for the servings.
