Rockies Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Rising Sun

I don't typicaaly write reviews. Where to start. First the place allows smoking. The two waitresses were unable to manage a meduim crowd. Bar has 10 tables, 5 had guest. Waited 30 mins from reciept of menu to walk to bar to place order as staff were unattentive. After waiting 45 mins from placing order we asked about our order to which waitress said "I'll check". She walked into kitchen returned to bar and did not communicate status to us. We observed the table that ordered before us not only get their food but consume it while we waited. We observed a couple come into the bar, sit at the bar, and place order after us but recieved food. We observed the waitress talk on cell phone behind bar, kiss on a patron behind us, clear tables 15 mins after group left, eat her dinner at bar, and both waitresses standing around bar area talking to each other with little regard to customers. My assumption from observation is that the locals were taken care of while non locals were ignored. Another couple who we thought had been served at the bar turned and left with us saying "you waiting for food, we've been waiting for an hour and a half". To make matters worse when we decided to leave i went to oay for my drink and waitress wantes to charge me double because she didn't remember what i had. She was unconcerned that we left dissatisfied and i believe she was trying to inout our order when i paid for the drink. AVOID this place worse joint I...

6 cheese sticks at just over $7, little over priced, then I got the steak dinner, the steak itself was ok but it comes with a baked potato and a salad that you could do better at home... imagine taking a head of lettuce out of freezer and cutting it into cubes instead of shredding or tossing it... And that dinner is at $20... if it was mashed potatoes and macaroni cheese I'd be ok with that but you're basically paying for the steak cuz the rest is trash... I was basically the only one there and was never checked on, no can I get you another beer, no did everything turn out okay none of that... I'll be back to shoot pool but as far as food and...

My boys and I came from Columbus IN and even though it's a small hole in the wall, the place is awesome! The food is amazing! The sampler platter was very good but the cheeseburger and tenderloin was awesome!!! The beer was fresh and ice cold! Our server was the coolest nicest lady! Even after we'd been there for a short time and about 20 bikes rolled in and they were overwhelmed and she was still all smiles and niceness! The only gripe is have is we had to wait about 2 hours for our to go food but again, they got bombarded all at once. I highly recommend stopping in and definitely get the cheeseburger and sampler platter! Not bad on...
