I have been coming here for years. Today I received horrible customer service. I waited in line like everyone else. I only needed my dot card laminated which I get every year. They usually do it at the full service desk. I showed the gentleman my old card. Today they wanted me to do part of it at the self service. By the way, i have no idea how what to do. He walks me over to self service and told me its $5. I said ok no problem. He told me he get cussed out about $5. As we started he didnt want to mess it up so he stopped to tell the full service girl to help. Finally I asked the gentleman to show her the card they always do for me every year because they always done it from full servicedesk. She tells me they don't do it at full service anymore and if they do it's $5 lol. Now I'm feeling like they don't think I wanna pay or I don't have it. They already allowed other people ahead of me and I'm also feeling rushed. She finally does the card from full service and tells me they changed it and I can talk to the manager then points him out. I walk to talk to him and explain. He said yes if I wanted it from full service it's $5 because it's expedited if I want it now. Again I never cared about the $5 I just came to get the card and leave. He then tells me because of the situation he will let me get it free. I told him no I'll pay. The young man who told me this today at 7:24 PM is the same young man who told me this is the first time. He clearly has no concept of good customer service. I took a package in last week about the same time, maybe a little earlier in the evening and an older gentleman a lady and another man gave good customer service was very accommodating and I was able to mail the package. I think the young man that was there this evening needs to be retrained . Because of the customer service I received from him, I will not purchase from this location the printer I plan to purchase within the next week or maybe not from Office Depot at all due to the frustration of driving to the store and not being given adequate service. To start things off, the staff at the print center is very rude. If it is your first time using the service like it is for me, they are very condescending. I build pc's for a living, and have a degree in video game design. The clerk was impatient, and they were woefully under staffed. It took so long for her to get back to me after I finished designing my cards that the system reset with all my work lost. To make matters worse, they keyboard and system I was putting the information into looked as though it hadn't been cleaned since the store opened. On top of that, when she finally came over to finish my order, she said it was my fault. When I asked for the manager, I had to wait over twenty minutes because he was ringing up customers.
