No I'm not giving this store a bad review. It's a nice place to go some of the couches or not the greatest in summer little nicer parrot love God another store and arranged it very nice where you can find things really easy and they have some interesting things in there also. We were in there about a month-and-a-half ago and we purchased a couple items I would recommend the store you found some nice stuff a whole lot cheaper especially if you're Remodeling and we are and it's stuff that is that you can get that people have donated instead of throwing it away and it's helped a lot of other people to finish their jobs that they may be doing in their home we've bought lots of things from this store. We went into the old store but it's just that now everything is in order you know like the things that go together are together and you find different knickknacks all over the store just looks nicer the way they have the store lot nicer to go in and glaze through I enjoy my visits there when I go. I do recommend the store especially if you're doing a smile odd job you might just find what you need there are a whole lot cheaper than going 2 Home Depot or Lowe's first you might just need a sink top you might just need the bowl for the sink and I probably have it. So I highly recommend this place...

Okay where have i been, under a rock, smh. I have been seeing this place but didnt know what it was. I was looking for thrift stores bc i always been going to the store whose name is the opposite of "bad won't" (hehe) and i was looking for a sofa, they are always overpriced at the "bad won't" store so i was excited to see this was a great thrifting/bargain store. I did get my sofa for.... Get ready.... This is unbelievable news so brace yurself..... $20 yes thats right, and it came with a pretty grey couch cover. I was sooooo happy after looking for sooo long and of course i got a ton of other stuff too. A bunch of throw pillows for $3 a piece. A pretty and very large painting for $15, i also bought a brand new printed carpet for $35 (omgosh their area rug selection is simply the best) but the rugs look larger hanging up on display. Its a 5 by 7, too small for my living room, which is where it was for, but ill go back and see if they have larger ones. But they are brand new still rolled in plastic so still a very great deal. Go to this store, its set up like a home improvement store so its not a bunch of chaos, clutter or disorganization. Its perfect. And exciting. I will ALWAYS go here first before i visit any other thrift store. Prices are great. So...

I have been a long time shopper at the Roanoke Valley Habitat restore. I think the new location is a lot easier to maneuver through and the layout is easier to find what you are looking for.

The parking and loading area are definitely better at this new location.

The staff has always been very pleasant and helpful, their knowledge of the products that they carry and their location has been a great help on more than one occasion. Although just wandering the rows of products will usually lead you to buy something that you didnt even come shopping for.

However I was forced to drop the rating to a 3 star due to the fact that the Roanoke Valley Habitat restore has started selling new products. Not new like leftovers from the big box stores, but new like the yardsale, and flea market people carry.

Not that this is a bad thing I am just of the opinion that if it's a re store it should not be selling the same thing that you can get just about anywhere else, and at a lower price.

What made this store such a gem to shop at was its eclectic mix of products, you never knew what you would find but you always found something...

I always enjoy the positive energy at the Habitat store, as well as seeing unexpected treasures and materials for my home. I was blessed to work for their incredible manager Joe at another home related business, and with another colleague, Ryan, for quite some time, who also serves the Habitat Community from the store. The store supports Habitat's work and our community. Having worked on a number of Habitat homes through church, Roanoke College, and the women's build, I can tell you that everyone can help. You are likely to pick up some new skills as well. The feeling you have as you see keys handed to the family for a home you helped build with them is truly a wonderful experience. One time after visiting the General Assembly I noted the start of a Habitat Home in a nearby parking lot taking place. In heels and dress clothes I finished the day working with legislative wives on a home they were sponsoring. My prior experience was helpful, as we built a number of frames to start the home. Today I noted the largest selection of men's and women's statement socks I have seen. You never know what you might find.

I just went to this store for the first time ever this past Tuesday and WOW ITS AMAZING, THE BEST PLACE for to purchase things to help with your own home remodeling needs. THEY LITERALLY HAVE EVERYTHING YOU CAN THINK OF! :) Here is a picture of the corner chair that I fell in love with and they had actually created it themselves and it's from two headboards from a baby crib! How awesome is that! I can't wait to finish my flooring that I'm doing in order to create the best little sitting sunroom area with this chair. So I highly would recommend checking this place out!!

BARGAIN HUNTERS PAY ATTENTION! Once again, we are grateful to Habitat ReStore for helping us fix up our old house on a super-tight budget. We added this closet organizer shelf, dowel and trim for less than $20. And we still love our $8 handrail. Oh!! The recycled paint in the kitchen and pantry still looks amazing. Every visit we find a bargain. Every single visit!! Clean, well-organized, friendly, efficient place to BUY LOCAL!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this local fav. Gail & Bill
