The buying experience in store was good. David in the fenton store was very helpful and knowledgeable about things. Set expectations very well with how long the furniture would take to get here. The reason why I am rating it below average though, is because we told David to make sure that the furniture was at the Hazelwood warehouse location to pick up because we were going to be out of town the week it would arrive and we live closer to that location, and he put this info into the notes. Received a text that it was at hazelwood on 3/22. Received a phone call on Thursday 3/24 that it was available for us to pick up at the hazelwood location. Went to Hazelwood location on Tuesday 3/29 around 515p to pick up furniture and the gentleman working told us that the furniture was transferred to fenton store on Thursday 3/24 with no notification that it was transferred. Called the fenton store to see if the furniture was there and they said yes it was. Asked if they could stay open a little later (close at 6 and we were leaving hazelwood at 530) and the gentleman who answered the phone said he wasn’t able to stay because he had dinner plans and the other guy also has plans but he will ask him. Put me on hold and came back and said that the other guy is upset he had to stay because it interfered with his plans but he can stay. Very unprofessional and this was not our fault that the furniture was transferred to a different location without notification. We arrived at the fenton location a little before 6 and was out by 6:07p so it was not like we were there for a long time.

Read moreJust so happens we picked the Fenton location due to the proximity of our new address and we got the wonderful opportunity to meet Joe, the owner. He was extremely helpful and polite. He also didn’t stalk us or try to upsell us on something we didn’t need, like typical furniture stores.
His store didn’t have as big as selection as his other locations, but he was able to show us different options in stock on the computer. It’s a little nerve wracking buying something you can’t really sit on or see in person, but he assured us of the quality of the product and he was right! Our new couch has a great durable material and fits wonderfully! We opted for the extra warranty coverage which was way cheaper than any other furniture store and covered us for 5 years at $50.
He also went way above and beyond for us. We had family coming to visit and instead of the regular 5 day delivery, he was able to get it delivered in two days, just in time for our family! We by no means ever expected to get a couch that quickly, but that just shows how nice Joe is and the quality service we got from him and even the delivery people was unmatched. Read moreTo start out, we ordered a complete king size bedroom set, including mattress around July 2021. We were told it would be Oct before we would get it and that was fine, but kept getting delayed. Finally received the final pieces in March 2022!! The first mattress we got was too soft and returned within the 30 day window. The next mattress we got and still have is horrible! Haven’t even had it 6 months and it has body indentions in it and a corner which seems it hasn’t fully expanded and is bent down. It’s been this way for months. We waited at least 48 hrs(longer than requested) after opening and letting it expand to sleep on it. When we called to report this, we were told to watch the mattress warranty inspection video on how to take pics to send in for review. They request the body indentions to be 1 1/2” deep, which they aren’t (YET) in order to be covered under manufacture warranty. A new mattress should not have body indentions of any size and should be replaced! We have tried leaving messages for the Ashley store rep, with no return calls. Do NOT buy a mattress from the store.
