New Sugar Creek shopping center — Local services in Rock Township

I have had a few bad experience's at this location. A bowl of chili took 30 minutes to get to our table one evening! The employees were more concerned with their friends that were there eating. My daughter got her bowl of chili just after we finished our burgers and fries. We were not given utensils until the chili arrived and not one time were we offered refills. I was refunded for our drinks after all that. At a much later date with my 5 year old son, late at night for a quick bite on our way home because McDonald's was closed. There were 3 cars in front of us, and loud and clear you could hear the employee say that it would be like 15 minutes before they could take our orders. We sat there for 25 minutes and finally they took our order but had it wrong. I wasn't going back at that point. About a month ago my son and I were driving to my moms and decided to stop. Again it was late at night, nobody in front of us, so I pulled up excitedly. Window down, 24° outside, I'm starving, son knows what he wants and nobody is coming over the speaker or answering me. So we wait, thinking maybe they need 15 minutes again. 25 minutes later there is a line now, still nobody is answering, and by now my son is getting impatient. After 30 minutes I pulled up to the window and tried to get someone's attention with no luck. They lost this customer that night and others that were behind me. This is one of my favorite burger places, this location is not...

This has really become our go-to steak n shake. The place is normally clean, workers are friendly and they usually hustle. And we have made the discovery that this chain is cheaper and tastes better than Sonic. Even for just a couple on a date. The food tends to be more filling as well. Overall it's nice and thankfully close to home, roughly five miles from us. Granted the parking could be a little easier to get in and out of, but that isn't up to this franchise. That's an issue with the developer of this shopping center.

But this franchise location is a keeper as long as these owners...

Honestly the last 2 times I've ordered from this location, I was EXTREMELY impressed! Must be new management or new owners but man what an improvement! I've lived across the street from this steak n shake for 14yrs and this is the cleanest and organized I've ever seen it! Kiddos to the new team! My food even taste much better! Great job Team New Sugar Creek...
