Still a very low entry fee (~$2.50) and machine costs (2-3 nickels mostly). A decent variety of arcade games covering the last 50 years or so. A fair amount of machines are out of order (perhaps to never be restored) or in disrepair, but still plenty of options. It's literally hit and miss whether your light-gun arcade game will have an accurately calibrated firearm, but when it does, the nostalgia wave is worth the wait. They still use physical tickets, the machines are fairly clear about their payout, and there are automatic ticket counters for when you're done. The prize pool leaves a lot to be desired, but is competitively priced. The most expensive thing you may see is a giant, stuffed banana (10,000 tickets) or other fair-like schwag. No PS6s or Super Pokeman 2 here, but given the extremely low cost of entry it may make business sense to not hold expensive merchandise. Pros: Party room is fairly priced. They seem to have endless rolls of nickels for sale. Best $/hr entertainment around Cons: Broken machines. Weak prizes.

I see quite a few good reviews on here nothing is 3 ,4 or 5 stars about this place they must post there own reviews unless they had the time of their life playing out of order broken games I really should have given it a 1 star but i like to be fare the staff was nice and helpful but the games pretty much suck more than half of the games don't work or work properly the good part is it's only a quarter if you can find a game that works they charge $2.50 per person to come in dont understand why? when most of your games out of order they have a wall in the back full of free games but only 3 of them work my 7 year old son was disappointed every thing he wanted to play something it was broken or didn't work properly i like the concept of what there doing but there inventory of games are a bunch of junk old broke arcade games that should be junked🧐

I was pleasantly surprised on the one hand, and disappointed on the other hand… This was our first time walking into Nickel World. We thought it would be fun to celebrate our ā€œdouble nickelā€ birthdays here! I was a little afraid it would be dirty and neglected looking, but I found the floors clean and the atmosphere cheerful. A few things to note… 1. Hours are limited, so check their website or call before you go. 2. The cover charge drops to $2 each if you have 3 or more people. 3. Most games take more than 2 nickels. You can buy nickels (or bring your own). 4. The video games along the back wall are free to play. There are all sorts of games, but the downside is that about 20% have an ā€œ out of orderā€ sign.🫤 I’m hoping that they have someone who can fix them, and they are just not giving floor space to unusable games.

Yesterday we had a party here for my 11 year old's Birthday. From the minute we walked in the door the woman working was terribly rude. She must be miserable and hate life or hate the place in general because all dealings with her were bad. Her attitude is flat out ridiculous. I had many of our party guests ask what the deal was with the lady working. She even made one of my daughter's friends cry. I was appalled. I had mentioned that I wished the man that I had booked the party with was working because he was kind and we paid good money for a little party room for 90 minutes. She said "you paid a hundred dollars, that's not a lot." I laughed to myself about how many nickels that breaks down to. She's not even taking into consideration the $50 in rolls of nickels we all spent on top of that. She also miscounted the number of children with our party and acted as if we were trying to swindle her out of three 50 free ticket cards that each child was supposed to receive. 1)Since they were shut down during covid for a while you'd think she'd be ecstatic for the business. 2)They've raised their prices for parties so you'd think she'd be satisfied with her own set pricing. So, I share all this with you to let you know that this rotten woman is the OWNER. She is ungrateful for the income she is receiving from the place. She should not be working around children or the public/customer service at all for that matter. We, my family that attended, and my friends will not ever book another party here and will not be returning at all unless she isn't the one working. Which is sad because everything other than her bad, combative, ungrateful attitude was a good experience. The guy that works there is really nice. He treats everyone like they should be treated and is good with the kids. I truthfully figured he was the owner when we booked the party because he seems to care more about the place than the owner herself. She needs a good training course on how to treat the folks who keep her in business. If you decide to visit NickelWorld and there is a woman there when you walk in, I suggest that you just turn right back around and come back when she's not working. She will ruin your experience. One more thing that was bothersome, she did not disinfect even one game while we were there for over 3 hours and many people...

Are games that cost a nickel too good to be true? At NickelWorld you will save tons of money playing outdated redemption games (arcade machines which dispense tickets). A number of them will be out-of-order and that's fine since maintenance on those machines is time consuming. The games are quite dated and show the years of constant wear of rough use from both children and excessively tenacious adults alike. A number of these games will cost 2 nickels and the more recent flashy ones such as Deal Or No Deal costing 6 nickels and Dance Dance Revolution: Super Nova costing 10 nickels. If you come here for the possiblity of large ticket earnings and the chance of a nifty novelity price to cherish in memory from when you made the entire occupancy of the building awe at your skeeball skills. Well take a step back, these machines are ready to give you your nickles' worth of tickets. Tickets will be cut slim as to keep you playing and obviously earn more tickets. That being said, the prize selection is dissapointing. A pack of sour airheads candy will cost you around 350 tickets and a Hacky Sack will be 300. But you're astonishing at games, you say? You just won the lottery twice this morning and want to spend it all in nickles here? Well get ready, a machine with a "Jackpot" payout of 141 tickets had a staff printed label stating the maximum payout could only dispense 50 tickets. All that aside, you love your classic arcade games and pinball? NickelWorld has 4 pinball machines and a small collection of classic arcade machines such as Joust, Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, etc. They even have a cabinet, which was down at the time, simply titled "Arcade Classics!" Likely a M.A.M.E. (Multiple Arcade Machines Emulator) with a frontend to allow you to play many different ROM files. We can only hope that these are legally obtained since NickelWorld charges an admission fee. However, I was unable to play the machine and have no clue what's on there, I just imagine they are more classic arcade games. This place is great to take your unknwinvu young children for a cheap fun day out. Even if your kids figure out that this is no where near as great as bigger and more exhilarating arcades, I can still assure you that they'll get bored fast. However, I guess this plays really give you what you pay...

Never been here before but took my boyfriends 5 year old to play some games and kill time before another errand. Was immediately asked if i had a mask, by the counter employee who was not wearing a mask..ok no big deal. Paid the $4.50 for us to get in and got $6 in quarters and let little man do do his thing. A few games didnt work. A few ate his money. He was too small to really play a couple. But he had fun for awhile. When it was time to go we still had a roll of nickels we didnt use and i gave them to the counter employee who rolled her eyes at me and told me that people like me are the reason they wont be able to stay open. I looked at her and said said excuse me and she responded that she had to take two dollars out of her register instead of me spending it there and that there used to be lots of people that went there and spent lots of money and now its just a little people spending a little money. I didnt mind spending the two dollars that apparently bent her out of shape, but we had somewhere to be. And unfortunately i think not being able to stay open has less to do with my roll of nickels when i had never been there and more to do with the...
