Guys, here's a little advice for you. Before heading to this facility, double-check your appointment 5-10 times. Or better yet, don't go there at all. The people working there are completely incompetent, to put it bluntly, they're just dumb. They have no idea what they're doing. The women at the guard station and in the office mess around with truck drivers. I arrived here Sunday night for a 2 AM appointment. Checked in at 8:30 AM and they told me my appointment was at 2 AM. They asked me to come back at 1 AM, saying they'd give me a door. I came back at 1 AM, checked in, got inside, handed them my papers, and 10 minutes later, they called me and said I need to pick up my papers because my appointment is actually at 10 PM the next day. I went in to clarify, and they confirmed 10 PM. I recorded the whole thing. After that, they kicked me out, threatening to call the police if I didn't leave. I left and spent the next day trying to figure out what to do. The broker was just as confused. I showed up at 10 PM, and they told me my appointment was yesterday at 2 AM, and I missed it. They refused to unload me and said I need to reschedule. I tried explaining that I was there on time yesterday, but they wouldn't listen. When I played the audio of what they had told me the previous day, the woman straight-up denied that it was her voice or that she had said any of it, even though it was clearly her. They’re messing with drivers on purpose. They don't want to listen or help. They act like they're above everyone and have all the power. But the truth is, they're just incompetent, clueless people who don't realize that truck drivers have families too and need to make a living. We can't just sit in one place for three days. I've been stuck here for three days now, and they still haven't accepted the load. Do yourself a favor and don't go to this place. The people at the receiving office and guard station are just plain...
Read moreGirl at the check out desk will make you wait forever to pay the lumper and get your bills. She'll make you stand there and won't acknowledge your existence till shes ready. You can just say "ill be with you in a moment" . Its a power play thats completely uncalled for and completely not needed. She acts like truckers aren't humans with hearts and lives. Just supossed to submit and forget your a person. Treatment was unacceptable. Will never come back here again. I have been to the Burris in Elkton MD to many times to count and never have been treated this way. Miss Patty in Elkton Burris runs the inside like clockwork. This Burris is just another typical shipping and receiving run by uneducated, underpaid and not to be bothered children. All truckers in the US need to do a 34 hr reset together. It will only take 34hrs to make the biggest point.
But otherwise wasn't a bad stop. Besides being woken up for a door that wasn't open. Then had to receiving's job and wait till the door was open. Their job is to call me when it's open but you know, be a shame to ask them to do their jobs. They are too busy playing games in the office. Then they wake you up and expect you to stand their and watch them all play around. I'm not the one. Burris rocky hill could sure learn some things from burris Elkton. 100%...
Read moreAs I'm sure all of you have come to the reviews to see what's up with this place the majority of what I read said you can show up multiple hours early and just park in the staging area but that has changed as of June 9th the paper they give you says No Carrier will be allowed on the property prior to 2 hours before the scheduled appointment. *All carriers will be required to exit the property within 30 minutes of being received after BOL'S are returned to carrier. *Security will remove all carriers from the property after 30 minutes and if needed local law enforcement will be called. AT NO TIME WILL LONG TERM PARKING BE PERMITTED ON THE PROPERTY! I didn't know about these new rules so I came like 6 hrs before my appointment because I only had 3hrs of drive time left on my clock I did tell the security guard that when I got here because he was telling me go 19 miles away to Milldale TA and wait then come back but he asked to see my ELD to make sure I wasn't lying about my drive time which I wasn't I showed him and he let me check in early which I thought I'd be sitting in staging until my appointment time but I was wrong cause 15 minutes after parking they called me told me to back into dock door #3 but before doing that bring my BOL's to Door #29 to receiving and then...
