I went with a friend as a 'girl's day' to relax. There was minimal relaxing involved. Started with nails. My nail tech did not hide her negative feelings about being at work in the morning. She barely did a pedicure (there was no massaging lotion or scrubbing my feet) but she did paint my toenails. For the manicure, she attempted to shape a couple of them but they were uneven so I had to fix them myself. The paint on hands and toes was VERY sloppy and not smooth at all. Even had paint all over the cuticle on a couple of fingers and my old polish was still under the new polish. There was no cuticle oil or lotion applied to my hands. There was to be a facial but there was a death so that was to be rescheduled (not at all upset over that....things like that can happen and no one should be forced to work thru that). The massage I got was fantastic. It was a nice room and so peaceful and warm. The massage tech was very informative about what she was going to do and what to expect. Had a shampoo and style with the package and that was fine. Felt a little rushed but overall the hair part was good. This place has definite potential but there really needs to be some better communication and planning to the situation. If the facial had been done, it would have been done along with fresh makeup before the massage which would have...
Read moreI cannot believe the roller-coaster I've had to go through with this establishment. If you're given a certificate (which you didn't ask for) after a bad experience, you should be allowed to use it however you please, not with rules and stipulations attached to every service. If the manager makes an error when charging you at check out, they should not be calling you at nine at night to tell you how much you supposedly owe them. I have paid for multiple services including full package spa days here and for each one, the manager has either mislead me to conditions, left out services, or nickeled-and-dimed me to death with pricing so trivial that even she became confused trying to explain them. I have a $40 credit here from services they left out (or it could be $7 credit, its been over three weeks and the manager still hasn't called me back with an explanation) but at this point I think I'll just let them keep it because, quite honestly, you couldn't pay me to come back to this spa.
To put it simply, the relaxation you receive from the amazing masseuses, nail artists, and hair stylists at Simply You Day Spa just isn't worth the headache of trying to pay for it...
Read moreWorst nail experience ever. When I went to pay I told Morgan, the nail stylist, that there was so many bubbles in my nails. She told me it was normal. I later looked up that it was not normal and that she did my nails quickly and messy. She also used dirty gloves with pink nail dust all over them. And when I first sat down she was complaining that her niece wanted to go to the pool and that she would have to wait an hour to go because she had another customer. So she was rushing and made me feel super uncomfortable. ): I will never go here again and will show everyone this picture so they donât have to go through what I did!! I have stage 4 cancer and just wanted to feel pretty and get my nails done and instead I got treated very badly and she even made fun of my accent since Iâm not from this area. I had so much anxiety I stopped talking!!...
