The Pooches Palace — Local services in Rolla

I had to board my 7 month old French Brittany recently and decided to try Pooches Palace. They let me come in and tour their facility prior to me bringing my pet there. The place is fantastic, very clean and the pet cubicles are great! They have different sizes available. The large suites provide 24 hour viewing access to your pet if you choose to use that one. I just used the regular stay. My pup had a 4x4 area were she ate and slept and had alone time. They let the pups out to go potty several times a day and they let them out to play in different play groups as well. The facility offers doggy daycare and grooming along with the boarding. They provide boarding for cats, but I didn't see that area. I had scheduled my pup to stay 10 nights but she ended up staying an additional day and a half due to a flight cancellation. They didn't have any problems with that at all! People running facility seem nice enough and facility seemed to be clean. They did not let me go back to say goodbye to my dog when we were boarding him as we were going to be gone for a week which made me a little sad. I was a little unhappy when I picked my little dog back up as he had a gash out of his nose from another dog I am assuming and they weren't real informative as to how he had done while he was there other than just basically saying yeah he did ok and some dogs don't like people with beards and some don't like other dogs which led me to believe something happened but they never really said one way or the other. I won't be taking my pets any where but HERE! As a pet groomer, it's hard to trust someone with my pet. It's even harder to recommend a place to my customers. Believe me, I've seen some awful stuff. I trust Pooches Palace with all my pets and my grooming customers. I belive their prices are reasonable. When you walk in you don't smell animal waste or bleach. It smells clean and looks very well maintained. They are supporters of a local pet rescue in Rolla, that right there means the world to me. Oh! And the pets are left alown for 12 to 13 hours like other places. They have someone there pretty late at night. It's the little things like that, that shows...
