I don't typically leave bad reviews, but after my complaint email was completely ignored, I guess this is where it leads. I was there last Tue. I've spent a fair amount of time and money in this place and can't say that it lacks in terms of quantity and quality in goods. However, last Tuesday was a shocking disappointment in terms of service. As I said, this had been a frequent stop of mine, as I resell the items I find. I don't expect to be remember, I am well aware of the dynamics of a busy retail environment, but the way I was treated by the store manager was outright rude. I was there with my children, who like to help me with this aspect of my business. We had accumulated a fair amount of merchandise, the cashier had begun placing my items on the counter and removing the tags so he could ring them up. It was getting quite cluttered as I had some larger items in this collection. I asked him if he was alright if my kids started taking stuff out to declutter and give me a head start loading up. He was fine with it, and this isn't the first time we've done this. About 5 minutes in, the store manager walks up and starts yelling at my 14yo for taking stuff out before it's been paid for. Both the cashier and I tried to explain the situation, only to be met with a very rude "well we can just stop that right now" from her, which fine, I had no intent of being an entitled ass. But then she proceeded to stand at the other end of the counter and huff and shake her head. Then once the transaction was completed, I thanked everyone involved only to be completely ignored by the manager. I understand if I was going against a "store policy" and it needing to be corrected, even though it wasn't the first time. But again, to be treated in the manner that I was, and then to have my email completely ignored, is just something that doesn't sit well with me. Angela's Attic has been a consistent stop of mine, but is far from the only one out there, so as of now it's been eliminated...
Read moreWe had a terrible experience here! An employee named Susan asked us to leave 5 minutes before closing. As we were looking at a painting, she came up behind us and told us they were closed even though the clock read 4:55pm. She waited behind us and rudely asked us to leave again and then proceeded to walk behind us making sure we didn't keep looking around. Meanwhile, there were several customers checking out and shopping around. I understand turning customers away who come in 5 minutes before close but customers who are there should be given a courteous amount of time considering there was a line of people to be checked out. We were definitely singled out and felt extremely...
