Pineview Highlands Golf Course — Local services in Roscommon Township

What a gem in the Houghton Lake area. Not a country club, but who needs that while on vacation? This 18 hole track is a fun & challenging course. With a few holes that have magnificent view of the lake. What a pleasant surprise when I played it recently. It is very well maintained, the grass & the sand traps are in excellent shape. The staff was courteous & friendly. The maintenance crew stopped while you were putting or hitting the ball. Gordy the owner also was very friendly & told me some interesting tidbits and information. Expensive - no senior rates, no fall rates, boring course. Extremely rude staff - woman at the front desk was borderline inappropriate! Beware of a 4% charge for using a credit card?! Wasn't aware places still did this - shady as hell though! She pointed to a ripped up piece of paper that was probably there for at least 10 years! no1 was looking at that piece of shriveled up paper.....just a way for you to screw customers out of another 4%. Not worth it....

This is only getting 2 for the fact that it is a beautiful course. Gordon is one of the owners and absolutely caused chaos on the course by telling groups to play ahead - we now sit on the tee box on 13 on our phones waiting for this group. And we are now joined by 6 others on the tee box.
