Fusion Dance Centre — Local services in Roselle Park

I never really had any issues with FDC until my daughter told me she was bored and she didn’t want to go there anymore. I called them to let them know that she wasn’t going there anymore and I explained the reasons. Unfortunately all this happens way after we were charged (without previous notice) for 2 dresses for the recital they have in the spring/summer, I called several (about 3) times to ask what was the status of the dresses if they were ready to be picked up and they kept saying there was a delayed and the dresses weren’t ready (even after the dress rehearsal). They sent an email on Sat June/3 advising that the dresses were ready to be picked up and if we didn’t pick them up by June/9 they were going to donate them (not even a week time window for us to pick up the dresses), when I arrived to pick up the dresses the lady at the front desk was very rude. When I told her I was picking up the dresses for my daughter she gave me an attitude and corrected me saying “you mean the costumes”. After she went to the back to get them, she almost threw the dresses at me. I really don’t have anything against the school I think the dance teachers are great and she had been in the previous recital and it was beautiful. But the admin staff was not so nice. I highly recommend Fusion Dance Centre to every boy or girl, and any teenager whether they want to experience dance for the first time, or for whomever already has dance experience. There are beginner classes that will take you to the next level of expertise you desire, and there is a dance company group you can also join for those who are committed to advance to more higher level dancing. Regardless of the level you are looking for, even if it is just for fun, just for recreational, you will find this at Fusion Dance Centre. The staff is respectful, encouraging, helpful, friendly, motivating, and they are always willing to answer your questions. It was the customer service experience that we received the first time we went to ask questions there, that won us over to try it out. They have remained the same throughout the years and I would recommend Fusion to any parent who wants to encourage their child to try something new or continue higher level dancing. We’ve been part of this school since 2019, and for the most part, the instructors have been awesome. My eldest has been in performance hip hop for the past four years and absolutely loves it. The environment is creative, energetic, and super community-driven - Sharon (the director) and Maggie (the performance program director) are both rockstars and really make the place feel like more than just a dance school.

There was one instructor who didn’t vibe well with my younger two - honestly, her social inclusivity and situational management skills were lacking - and they ended up taking a couple of years off because of it. Thankfully, they came back this year, and it’s been a great experience since. That one teacher aside, everyone else has been nothing short of magnificent, and I’ve seen so much growth, confidence, and joy in my kids because of this place.
